It's interesting how players that had good offensive seasons prior to joining the Rockets seem to go cold once they are with us.

Tracy McGrady (only a year or two removed from being back-to-back scoring champ)
Bonzi Wells (resurgent year w/ the Kings under Adelman, phenomenal in the playoffs, he did become a lardass when he came here to be fair)
Mike James (one of the best statistical years for a guard in recent history)
Ron Artest? (coming off the best offensive season of his career)
Brent Barry? (will his %s go down as a Rocket?)

It's obviously too early to know how Artest and Barry will do but I certainly hope they don't follow the recent trend. I wonder if Yao is somehow the culprit. He is the one common denominator.

^^atm thats too big of an assumption to make^^
yao needs to be more assertive and demand the ball, mcgrady is coming off 2 of the worst games in his career and artest needs to find his role. having said all that, this means nothing if u can't put the ball in the hoop

I seriously think something is up with mcgrady. Maybe coach adleman told him to run the offense and he is pouting. I dunno. He looks terrible. Even Yao, but yao has been consistently terrible. How can Mcgrady go for 30 on one night, then score a total of one field goal the next two? He isnt even trying. I might believe he is hurt, but why is he playing if he is hurt?

Adelman needs to grow some balls. If McGrady is building a brick house? Sit his ass. Same with Yao. If they didn't show up to play, then give those minutes to guys like Landry or Hayes, who will give 100%. I rather see us go down fighting than standing around with our fingers up our butts.

    Yes...why?

We need some insider info here straight up. You can't go for 30 one night and then straight up bail the next. He's still got it. He's just not using it. Now the question is WHY!?

Maybe a Laker fan said something mean to him and hurt his feelings.

    Maybe he had a hangnail.

Maybe he was just kinda tired.

Maybe he figured "it's only a regular season game, no reason to exert myself."

    Maybe he thinks he's underpaid.

Maybe he wants to play baseball again.

    Maybe he misses Camp Chen-a-Wanda.

Maybe he just doesn't care anymore and is playing out his contract, thinking about retirement.

I dunno, he isnt even moving or setting screens like he usually does. Plays arent really being called for him too. Tmac should be licking his chops if he sees Radmonovic and Vulachek on him. He should have scored 40 on those defenseless euro's. Something is up, and its one of two things: He really is hurt badly, or sick, (nothing was made of it though) or he is having a tugowar with coach or some other internal issue. Sigghhhh....i knew the season was too good to be true.

I seriously don't think this roster is capable of playing Rick Adelman's style. JVG is really the best person to coach this roster. Adelman doesn't preach defense like JVG, everyone knows that. And Adelman's system is not for this roster, period! Somebody like Popovich or JVG would be perfect for our current roster.

I'm sure JVG would love to have Battier and Artest together on his team.

Besides, JVG managed Yao's minutes the best. I have no idea what the hell Adelman is doing, his substitution pattern sucks! And he's not using Yao to his full potential. All those high post is a waste of time!

Who expected blowout by 30 and Ron and Tracy shooting 3/22?

Nobody. Don't understand this thread at all.

Doesn't Tmac show up against Kobe anymore? this use to be the marquee matchup.

Laker fans got cheated by the Rockets. those rich people in the front row at least wanted to see a more competitive game than the Clippers.

One of the worst games in few seasons. I said one because I still remember last year's blowout against Philly.

Nothing positive from this game, not even Brooks who did score 20 points and keep us in the game for a few mins, but also the one who took us out of it by costly TOs so that evens it out. Houston, we're in trouble.
This team should really be embarrassed by the non-performance they showed last night. Phoenix is going to eat us alive like this, so hopefully we come out blazing after this humiliation.

The NBA season goes for 82 games. We are one game over .500 after 8 games!
Anyoen that has a problem with the early part of this season, please go to the first 10 games of last season.

I will gie to you guys it has beena dissapoiting start to the season. However anyone that expected us to be undefeated at this point or to be playing as if it was a week from the play-offs get over yourselves.

We have a tough start to the season, add that to the team learning more about Adelman's offense and having Battier out, plus attempting to build chemistry with some new additions to be over .500 is a positive.

I am sick and tired of coming to this forum and reading about how bad the coach is and how bad the players are.
The problem is you guys. Too many of you expect the players to play well every game and to basically be flawless.

I leave you with this message...IT IS NOVEMBER!

after watching this team for the past 7 games, i think we not really there at all mentally all of our games. we came in and play ugly BBall (offense and defense) this team badly needs a good pep talk. and it should start with coach RA. and its should start KNOW not to wait for the time like we lossing to some weaker team. and dugging our self our own hole that we could not climb upon anymore. Ive seen our schedule this week oh boy!! i smell only a win at (undermanned) SnAtonio. i know for sure RA and Morey knows the problem. i hope they have the balls to talk to yao and tracy and ask them hey guys what going on?.

and for our stars yao and tracy. hey guy's i think you owed it to the fans they play best to your abilty. at least give us 100 percent of your effort. that all a fan could ask.

That is an unfair thing to ask, because not only physically but mentally is difficult to bring it for 82 games. It is an easy thing to ask, but to actually do it consistantly is very hard.

I watched the game from start to finish. The team needs more BIGGIES to support the big three. T-mac's performance was just sad. What the heck is happening to him? I hoped to see him in a man-to-man battle with Kobe but it looked like a match between a veteran and a rookie :( . It was great in the first quarter but it was downhill from there. If we had more biggies, we can take the fakers or anyone else for that matter. The road team is tired and we need big fresh legs to gather our momentum and finish the job :) .

The refs were biased as well!
