That was a great game - I mean come on. AB made some turnovers, it wasn't his night and that is. That's why we had Landry and Hayes to step in. And to take LA in overtime early this season, to lose by one and ALL that without a "superstar".

Anyway, I almost had a heart-attack at the end :D

Me either. I actually would trust Lowry more in those situations than AB. It might've been better to bench Battier, even, in favor of Lowry.

Still, gutty loss but it was to the defending champs and the fifth game of the season. No big deal.

Wow. The last second play was absolutely pathetic. Brooks will never be a good PG in this league if he can't learn to control himself...

its a young team, and it showed tonight.

also- the overtime showed that they got no confidence in Andersen, they opted to call in Brian cook.

    Correct.

Although there was still 13 seconds left for Kobe to 'get fouled'

Can we have the replacement refs back please? Do we need to give them a pay-rise first or something???

Definitely a shooting foul on AB at the end. He got the shot up before 2 steps after the foul, that is continuation.

Anyone expecting a win is delusional.

The only reason why we were close against this tall Laker team was because Odom and Bynum missed ~10 point-blank put backs.

Brooks made a number of awful decisions toward the end. This team's inexperience really showed toward the end.

Great effort and hustle tonight though. But huffort can only take you so far.

Anyone has trouble...you need a 2nd playmaker on the floor late.

We saw this same junk defense RUIN Tmac in the playoffs.

    We needed Budinger BAD tonight.

I'm pretty sure we put the ball in Aaron's hands on every big possession.

Trevor just got it at the end because the play was broken after AB got trapped.

brooks played terrible at the end holy shet...howmany TO's

and trevor, plz dont do too much, you are playing like artest...

Huge props to Hayes, Scola for the rebounds or else we wouldnt even be in this.. landry busted his ass too..

am i the only one that has problems with Battier today, Kobe fricken destroyed him in the post..and he was missing three after open threes.

No way that's all on AB, Ariza was 5 of 21 tonight, no reason for him to take 20 shots when Scola and landry were doing so well, other than he was trying to stick it to LA and he forced shots all night

I'm not too disappointed by our effort. We took the reigning world champs to overtime and lost by 1.

But, really some of the calls Kobe got in overtime were ridiculous. They called a reach on Brooks and Scola. You know if that was Kobe dribbling thru traffic the way Ariza was on our last play they would have called a foul on us.

The play at the end just broke down, and Brooks was just not able to improvise. Ariza was off this game, but he is a shooter. That's his role. Don't expect him to create too much on offense cuz thats not his game.

Honestly, this was the fourth game of the season. We are going to keep growing as the season progresses and we will be alright.

I'm staying on the bandwagon, and all the sensationalists out there can get off and stay off

Careless turnovers and too much dribbling in some situations. I try to look at the glass half full, but this one is hard to look at. Kobe getting foul calls towards the end, luis and chuck fouling out, back to back turnovers, and not getting a shot off at the end really hurts. I guess I should be happy they put up a good fight though. We have 77 more games to go, so plenty of time for improvement.

Well fought game, we played tough, got fouled on the last play but whatever. When Brooks gave up his dribble, i knew there we were f'd, and than Ariza and the no-foul. Oh well, at least Ariza tied it to go to OT, we did well, good job, only lost by 1, we'll get our revenge in LA. See ya, fakers.
