Worst game? From what kinda perspective?

Except some bull**** calls on the Rockets,I still consider it a good rivalry to watch.

If you're supertitious, we can attribute this loss to the unlucky # 13!

offensively, that was it. yao wasn't exactly dominating in the first half, but he never missed a shot (neither did scola). when the doubles came quicker in the 2nd half, neither yao nor adelman knew how to counter. that, plus we cound't hit from outside.

i just don't understand why we never tried a double on kobe.

Maybe we should play run-and-gun when he's on the floor. :D

Guys, the reason Yao didn't take over this game is because of the fronting. It's still a problem we gotta fix it and make teams pay for it. Other than that, lets feel good. If the Mavs beat the Blazers and Lakers beat the Spurs we are right back where we started. Still in 3rd so lets have faith.

Are you kidding me? Brook should go to the bench. He don't know how to pass the ball on the correct time and position. Lawry is better than Brook on distributing the ball and attack the rim. Alderman just over trust this little guy on the court. Another thing is Yao should not be on the court same time with Brook. Bench Yao or Brook? This is the selection. It is so pathetic to watch Brook dribble the ball when Yao had the position, and then pass the ball to Yao when Yao was almost lost his position.

Yall need to chill the **** out, we lost a really close game with our two stars playing bad games. You guys act like we were the favorites to win this game...Artest was due a bad game for a long time, especially after his insane streak of shooting. Good news is that our defense was great for the most part and nobody quit.

Yao will never be great at grabbing boards. People need to accept this. Although Yao is 7'6, the man has alligator arms which causes him to fumble the ball.

What he can impove on is the following: when not being fronted, he needs to concentrate on sealing off his man. In single coverage, he needs to make quick decisive moves. Often times he passes out of the post when in deep single coverage or waits for the double team, trading a high percentage shot for a low percentage three pointer. At 15 feet or closer, he should simply turn and shoot. Do not dribble into traffic where smaller guards can swipe at the ball. Do not rely soley on the hook shot. Mix it up a little. These are his strenghts. He needs to maximize these strengths in order to overcome the physical limitations for being so big.

I don't understand the obsession with the three point line tonight. Artest 0-8, Battier 0-4, and even Lowry hoisted up a couple of attempts, and it isn't his game. Artest made 50% of the rest of his shot attempts and Battier made the only attempt that wasn't from downtown. That and 14 turnovers from Yao, Artest, and Wafer. There's no good reason I can see for us to lose this game, not if the Rocks had played within the system and kept a grip on the ball.

A fun game to watch, but you don't get the chance to knock the Lakers off very often, and on your home court. Most of the guys were just too excited. Artest played as bad as I've seen him play in weeks. Von Wafer was passing to phantoms. Yao had butterfingers again. Just a damn shame.

yeah,AB just want to shot, and if he find he cant shot because of tight defense ,then he will force passing the ball to Yao,that always make a turnover.......And Lowry konws exactly what he should do,and do you see the good pass that Lowry made to YAo?

    My observations:

Kobe is MJ part II. Good grief he is good.

Artest went goofy: one on five, ill advised shots, stupid turnovers, but some mean defense

Yao went into "Big Softie" mode, couldn't hold onto the ball to save his life, became very indecisive, held the ball low, failed to box out, didn't move on most rebounds. My word Yao, this was a big game.

Wafer is semi-goofy at times, but made some cold-blooded shots.

Landry and Scola continue to be relatively consistent and play hard.

Brooks and Lowry showed their inexperience yet made some big plays, excellent passes, and clutch shots.

Either Battier is having an off year, is still struggling with his feet, or is sharp decline. He mainly just runs around.

I know Adelman has a loads of experience and a great reputation, but at times it is like he has a brain lapse. His substitution patterns almost always puzzle me. He went away from the combo that was working the first half and found a combo that couldn't score, AND STAYED WITH THEM TOO LONG!

Did I mention that Kobe can take over a game and win it. The Rocket's weaknesses were exposed and the Lakers proved why they are the team to beat.

Realistically, my goal is for the team to make the playoffs, and with their schedule, that is not a lock, and advance past the first round. If that happens then I will likely expect more, like the finals where LA will win in six.

What about the one that smoked bost,cleveland@et,and orlando in the same week. They have the best record in the league.

DD, its not just about the missed 3's, its about the inability to adapt. We didn't see La launching 3's
