Because Gasol >>>>> the rest of the Cavs combined! Some of you fakers boys should just stay in lakers kids' playground forum! In a statement game like today, our beloved center again disappeared! Guess this time all his fans will have nothing to say to support him. Everyone say Yao is a smart and fast learner but after 7 years in the league he still makes simple basketball mistakes. Sometimes i wonder Yao has his mind in the game or still thinking about playing online game while on the court. Yao needs to shoot more and attack aggressively. Without him doing so, the team relies on long shooting which not gonna cut it when comes playoffs time!
Game was lost by the starters in the beginning of the 3rd quarter, this is how you repay the 2nd squad for giving you that big asss lead
Phil is one of the smartes coaches, you think he did not know that our bigs shot like 90% and our 3's like 11% in the first half? I say we lost because we could not make open 3s.
You want to talk about bias? Apparently, you don't realize you're a Yao hater... Yao's ability to get rebounds relevant to his size has already been debated SO many times. What happens if Yao isn't in the game? Does Scola and Landry get as many rebounds? When Yao is in the game, opponents focus on Yao to get the rebound. As their attention is focused, Scola slips in and grabs the rebound before anyone else. Also, we apparently live and die by the three now, so the rebound is going to be long. Who's usually between the three point line and the paint? Scola and Landry. Therefore, they usually get the rebound. Watch some games before you post, Yao-hater.
I find it funny how a couple of games ago some of the fans here were praising Yao on his defense and clutchness. Remember the cavs game? But today is a different story even though it wasn't entirely his fault.
Yao has slow feet and a narrow body. He is tall though. Worse he tends not to move his feet while fighting for position, he moves his upper body and uses his arm to reach over. Reflexes are also his problem. BUT don't forget he is 7'6. His agility for a 7'6 guy is pretty good, if not amazing.
Entering every loss game thread then I can see you guys act like it's end of world. Yao sucks! Trade his ass! Coach idiot! This team is going nowhere? What's new? Is it a little boring?
No he wasn't but he still has many problems that after being in the league this many years he should have them fixed by now. Yao is getting older and he's not getting better. I think his expectations were just set too high and its not his fault. You know in China he used to absolutely dominate 30 pt games every night but that was over there. Yao is as good as he is going to get and that ain't too bad but he is never going to be the monster we all want him to be and we need to either accept that or hope he gets replaced it just depends on what you want for this team....
these games happen... if these shots went down, it would've been like the cavs game over again...patience...i still think if we could play them again we would beat them...
This is why we come to this board to VENT Seriously its better than breaking my remote or computer !!
Yao is a limited rebounder, and limited blocker. BUT he can clog the paint to change lots of shots, and he can also help his teammates get rebounds. It will not show in his stat sheet, but he does help Rockets team rebounding in every single year. Yao is an pretty good offensive player, although he's slow and doesn't have great hands. As fans, we can sit there bi$ching, but as coach, should RA try to make the best out of your players by playing their strength, or just sit there hoping he can change after 7 years? No matter how you slice it, if your 4 and 5 were perfect 6-6 in the first 15 minutes they played, you only managed to get BOTH of them ONLY 3 shots each in the next 20 minutes of their playing time. The coach failed, no matter how soft your players are.
Knee-jerk reaction FTW! Anyways,if we made 3 more 3 pointers we would win this game.Just off night from Ron Ron and Battier, too bad it happened agianst the Lakers. I still think we can beat them in the playoffs.Go Rox!
Some points to ponder: *Artest has one of the lowest Bball IQ's on the team. As low as Von Wafer, except that Wafer was actually driving inside, while all Artest did was chuck 3 pters and take tough shots in traffic *Battier sucks and is devolving into Chuck Hayes. That's not bad, but we're paying him thrice what Chuck is making, he should be 3x as productive. What's his percentage the last five games? Good god, lock yourself in the gym and don't come out until you're hitting 38+% of your 3 pts. *RA sucks. He doesn't know how to manage substitutions...at all. Whereas PJ was bringing nobodies out to produce and taking guys in and out of the lineup until they clicked RA just sits there doing nothing. We're going no where with him at the head. We might win a lot of games but playoffs are all about matchups, and this dude just doesn't know jack about that. Why the hell did Artest play so long? And why didn't Landry get more PT? Yao and Artest were stinking up the place, where were Deke and Barry? We play 2nd second and benched Battier, Artest and Yao and I guarantee we would have won this game. *Yao Ming always wimps out in big games. I don't why, maybe because other teams already have him figured out and only shut him down in important games, but this guy is choking worse than Dirk Nowitzki right now. Horrible performance Yao. Did you suddenly forget how to box out and seal your man after 7 years in the league? That's why DH IS the best center in the league-he'll never be a taken out of the game as easily as Yao Ming, and with Shaq playing the way he is Yao is only 3rd best at this point. Hmm we really need work right now, and the scary thing is our best people (Artest, Yao Ming, Rick Addledman, Shane Battier) are the ones letting us down.
Guys...take it easy...Rockets are a good team...Lakers are a GREAT team...with or without Bynam or Odom... We cant win 'em all....as long as we make the playoffs this season is a success.
Yes man, check out stats, Both Lanndry and Scola have more rebounds in games without Yao, they don´t get more rebounds because of Yao, with that thought then the Spurs Bonner or Thomas would average at least 9 rebs a game and the don´t because Duncan DOES REBOUND. When you have a great big man alongside you, usually it´s easier to score and more difficult to rebound cause the position closer to the rim is theirs. And Yao hater around, ask in the forum or check my lastest post on Yao, he was a dissaster on the glass this game, and choked all over the place. He didn´t get a single point or rebound in the Fourth, and that´s a FACT, not a hater´s point of view.
