simply said, our efficient post players Landry, Scola and Yao Ming do not get enough shots. Ron, Wafer, and Brooks chuck it up too much. Adelman really needs to make the offense more post-oriented. There are plenty of plays you can use to counter fronting, Brooks is lightning quick, he can easily dribble to where Yao is and hand off the ball in front of him in the blink of an eye...

Ron Artest was a major reason the Rockets lost this game and here are why:

    1. Gambling and diving at Kobe trying to steal is a HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE mistake.
    2. Fouling Paul Gasol unnecessarily and bring him to the line when the game tied up is HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
    3. He has nag of taking too many shots trying to do it all by himself is also HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEE mistake...because Yao needs more shots.

And Ron Artest clutch shooting and personal vendetta on Kobe has nothing to do with the loss right? sheesh some people are short sighted when it comes to favoritism.

    Battier Sucked
    Artest Sucked
Kobe can't be contained like Lebron
Yao was typical Yao, get his early, but once the fronting starts, he is pretty much useless. It's not like he'll get you some amazing offensive rebounds if he can't score. Well I've pretty much concluded a while ago, that Yao cannot be relied upon in crunch time. So nothing surprising there.
Gave the best team in the league a run for their money so not too disappointed

Artest doesn't claim to be a franchise player.

Yao supposedly so. Wear the crown. Get the blame.

You know, sometimes, 2 wrongs are not mutually exclusive. Think harder, there are more options in basketball.

Yao was playing good actually in the first half. all our big men played good in the first half. but entering the second, it became the Ron show. Yao needed both stamina and rhythm to be effiencient in the end, clearly, he had none.

fans should calm down, just one game, one bad game, everyone has a bad game sometimes. dont be ridiculous

robert horry should make the hall of fame just by his wisdom alone. Live by the three, die by the three.

And why is there always a guard running uncontested behind yao ming's blind side. Someone needs to set a back pick to prevent that crap from happening. It's been 7 years of that crap

1.This game proves Yao is not able to be Rox's leader, he is just a normal good C (even isn't competent to a all-star). Yao could do what a normal C do well, even better. But his effert don't decisive. he is on the top of his career, i don't think he could be any better later.
    2. Artest is a great worrior, he can't be a leader either. He is great worrior because his high spirit never falls,he could infuence others, inspire others by what he does in the court. But he lose his mind on playing the ball when be intrigered (but he controls his action much better than before).
3.puls: T-mac is that kinda skilled soldior, he has his own style and his talent when in the setbacks, but he's not good at fitting in the system which is not fit for his style.

our BIG 3 have their unchangable weakness. that's why in my opinion we don't have a leader in deed.

4.games have proved Rick is not a coach could change a game, but only a couch who could only arrange a game. The whole 2nd half could prove this.

That's why we are a good team but the best team.
We are playoff-team,but . ;) .. hehe at least not now..

    Best wishes to Rox

Tough loss but wow, what a great game. Bryant played like he had something to prove. (I'd say the NYT Mag article on Shane Battier had something to do with it.)

Artest did a good job on him, but on some nights Bryant's near impossible to guard one on one. But still, it was a great battle to watch.

I thought the Rockets didn't stay agressive enough in the second half, but give credit to the Lakers who played some GREAT defense.

Overall, it was a type of game that our young team should expect in the playoffs. I thought we did pretty well despite the loss, and it's definitely something to build on.

    Go Rockets!

You can't wait for 2010 to clear both T-mac and Yao's salary?

Umm Yao will most likely still be a Rocket then with a higher contract.

A franchise player is not suppose to get 9 shots. I guess u can blame coaching too for still being clueless about fronting defenses. Yao has mid range game too, why not use it?

Except Artest sure ACTED like he was the franchise player. Chucking up 16 shots and going for a steal against Kobe.

Yao was 7-9. What the **** do you want Yao to do? For someone that shoots that well he should NOT only get the ball 9 times a game. Sometimes our players ignore Yao for long stretches of the game, he becomes cold, then we start forcefeeding him when the game gets tight and expect him to do magic with his cold hands. WTF?

    Your logic is horrible.

Where exactly is the crown? Lip service? Or coach grabbed AB or Ron to ask them stop go 1 on 5, Try to at least LOOK at your "supposedly" "crown wearing" franchise player ONCE in a while?
