It's not superstition my friend. Chinese don't work on Chinese New Year Day just like foreigners don't work on Christmas Day and New Year Day. Chinese greet one another normally by saying "KUNG HEY FAT CHOI" when they meet on Chinese New Year Day. Yao is playing basketball in the US and could not meet his friends/relatives/fans in China. I just guess he would like to play and win as the best kind of greeting for them. Just want to clarify.
Come on! I thought you are smarter than this! Yao wanted to play but team hold him rest just for caution.
Yes it is because of precautionary measure by the trainer. But hell he is man who is getting paid millions to do a job not some antique vase!
They should have been able to beat NY w/o Yao. The team on a back to back w/o Ron and Tracy blew out NY by playing Adelman ball. They had enough talent tonight, they just need run the offense.
Hey everyone...Tmac and Artest was 4/13 in the 4th... no no no...not 4/14 from the field... they took 13 shots and only 4 of them were inside the 3pt line... Horrible...HORRIBLE...just HORRIBLE. At some point you have to quit shooting @#$! threes and TAKE IT TO THE HOLE! Remember that time against Utah...bad shot after bad shot...it took 4qtrs and a OT for Artest to realize that he could bully his way into the lane whenever he wants. we will be lucky to get the 5th seed at this pace.
This team's "all season long habit" of playing down to the level of the competition is a sign of LAZINESS, the idea that you can do as little work as possible to "get by." At least a third or more of their losses are to weaker teams. Mark my words, this will BITE the Rockets in the behind, either by poor seeding in the playoffs, a loss of home court, or both. Champions come to play and put away the weaker teams, they break their will. The current Rockets give everybody hope. And "chucking" is also a sign of LAZINESS. Why expend energy by driving when you can brick from the cheap seats?
Guys guys guys.....yall cant be that upset about the lil ol lost to NY. WE OWN THE KNICKS! Let them get their 1st W in 9 games at home vs. the Rockets. Nobody is happy about losses but charge it to the game and move on. Plenty more games to play. We will get it right. Thats how im dealing with it.
As it is mentioned just before the game, Yao did come to court to practice two hours before the game, but still feeling hurt somewhere. So he did not play.
If they keep continuing the current trend. Worst case scenario they might not make it to the play offs. Best case they might make the play offs minus home court advantage. From this point, they just cannot afford to play games like this.
I can't get over how much of a punk Nate Robinson has become in the NBA. I don't know if it is Napoleon complex or what but he is a complete thug out there thinking he can push people around and just ... pull a Garnett all the time.
