You need to have good shooters in at the end of the game. Artest is terrible in the clutch as is T-Mac.
Artest and McGrady just don't move without the ball at all, and Artest doesn't pass enough, just takes these off balanced shots.
i'm not going to blame adelman here, he knows that if the rox are going to make some noise in the playoffs tmac and artest need to get going so it might as well be now. it just sucks to know that it costs us this game
Thank you Ron Artest, 4/19 gotta be kidding me. We live and die by the 3s. It sucks and we suck as a team. T-Mac was definatly fouled on that last 3, but we can't relay on the refs. IT SUCKS. One game we play well, the other one we SUCK.
It's official. TMac can't play Rick Adelman's passing game. He has played ISO in his entire career and it's not gonna change. And he is not going to get any better.
Everyone thinks they're a 3pt specialist. Remember when there were only 3-4 in the whole league (Bird, Ellis, Price, etc). Now we've got 1/2 our team getting the green light when they should either be penetrating (TMAC) or posting (ARTEST). This one was ugly...gonna have to take a couple of games off. I don't recover quickly from embarrassing performances like this anymore.
Told ya, weak team, habit of playing down to the level of the competition, Rockets pencil in "W," make early dinner plans, lose game. This is too easy. Frankly I think the bench is a better team than the starters with the exception of Scola.
T-mac and ron have personal agendas. They both want to go one on everyone. They only work with 1 other player in pick and roll situations, they will not use the whole team. THEY SLOWED EVERYTHING DOWN TO JUST THEM
We don't have a post-up game and we had a starting lineup that doesn't have efficient three point shooters and that killed us down the stretch. A continuing issue, though, is the bad defense. This team has clearly regressed on the defensive end. Part of it, certainly, is due to injuries and the fact that we basically didn't have Deke backing Yao (and still don't, given the amount of time he's been on the court sense his re-signing). I also agree that Adelman blew it with his rotation down the stretch. We didn't have a single competent jump shooter on the court in the last four minutes.
