Bad coaching decisions...no ballmovement with the stars....bad use of players....

Adelman cannot win small ball against D' Antoni, the king of small ball!

The definition of STUPID is to continue to do the same things over and over and expect different results.

11 years and counting people.....take the ball away from Tmac.....take it.....

The Rockets do have some problems...but nothing so drastically bad that they can't fix. We're still 28-18. We have beaten elite teams this season. And we lost this game tonight with no Yao Ming.

Don't be so analytical about just one game. As long as we're ready by the time April comes around, that's what matters.

Without Yao, we are a very undersized team.

I already know you're talking about T-mac, which yes he's a problem but our blown leads are not just on him.

Detroit we had a 13 pt. lead it got down to 6 until the starters came in.

We have blown leads while T-mac was playing.

We have blown leads while T-mac wasn't playing.

Our blown leads aren't just on T-mac. We have only had 1 game that we blew a team out from start to finish and that was the Nets game when everyone was there. We simply struggle putting teams away and that is the whole teams problem not just one player.

Why is it so hard to see? He hold the ball and launches a low percentage shot from 18 feet and out (the WORST SHOT IN BASKETBALL). Because Battier is often in the corner and the bigs in or near the paint, any rebound becomes an immediate fast break (mostly because TMac himself doesn't hustle back). How many games have we seen where we give up transition buckets at the end of games? That is simply horrible. You'd think that the primary offenders (TMac and Alston) would learn. But they don't Neither do Adelman or JVG.

I know he's a tough cover, but at the very least on the play that ended the first quarter, just get in his way! They only had about 5-6 seconds. Making him dribble around somebody would've taken a couple of seconds off the clock, and then he would've had to take a half court shot.

Then the 3 point foul, thats always been a BIG no-no for any NBA player. Its not that hard to not run into a guy shooting a 3 pointer. Maybe I'm making too big a deal of this, but dumb plays like that can really cost a team a game, and it just happened to tonight. There was no reason those plays should've resulted in 6 points.

T-Mac should be banned from launching anything 12 inches inside the 3 point line. Either step back or get closer.

Yeah, especially if we play Yao. He's really terrible against small ball. BTW, how did we do the last time Yao was in the lineup against the Knicks? I'm rather curious....

On the other hand, if we had some great players like TMac and Artest in the lineup, we'd be fine against small ball teams since they are both tall wing players and should be able to challenge shots effectively.

We can debate argue why the rox lost. Just as some posters brought up giving up 2 plays to Thomas didn't help the cause. Also DD has pointed out tracy holding the ball. Why don't the coach trust anyone else to produce late? Why do this team continue to give up high % shooting games to teams? Why Adelman won't play deke? Why won't Morey trade for a big that adelman wll play?

I dont think you can blame this loss on any individual. Sure artest and alston shot very poorly, but the defense was awful tonight. It was more of a team loss tonight. this team needs to work on their defense and I'm sure RA realizes this.

in fact , nearly every rockst's match ,if you leave yao's data statistics out ,what you will find low shooting % is normal for rockets.

Two words "Shot selection". We have fallen in love with the three ball. Combine that with Wafer and sometimes Rafer being the only players who will penetrate and you get this.
Without Yao drawing a double team most of the threes were contested, Wafer is the only one who will attack on a close out and can get into the lane. How hard is to understand that you don't always have to take the three?

Artest sucked, he's overrated defensively, and has always been a blackhole offensively.

I really enjoy watching the games with just Yao Ming and our rookies giving it everything they have. At this point I dont even care about winning, I just want to see a bad ass game. Watching a game with T-mac and RON yes I said it RON is just so damn frustrating. I don't give a **** about them anymore I don't even care if they make our team better. Seriously, we can have a team like the Pistons when they won the championship if we make a few smart trades.
