Brooks took too many shots. I don't understand why he's forcing it.

I would have preferred seeing this thread from BrooksBall, but maybe this will work too.

He definitely had a bad game, everyone but Scola played like garbage. But without Brooks, this game would not have even been close. He missed a lot of shots, but he and Scola were the only ones even putting the ball in the hoop.

To blame Brooks alone like so many people are is ludicrous. It was a team loss, it was a pathetic effort all around. 25 ****ing offensive rebounds is just sickening

Battier was working his ass off.. what a waist of a superb and expertly executed defensive effort.. I'd rather Battier suck all the way around and lose then have such a game and lose so terribly..

    No.

If we didn't allow 25+ second chance point the story is complete different.

Yes if was awful for our backcourt but their guard were awful too, the lack of hustle kill us tonight.

When the doctor uses the reflex hammer on your knee do you kick him in the face? Your knee jerk reactions seem to be vicious.

it aint over until the final game is played sir.

Brooks kept us close. He just couldn't get us over the hump.

That was always Lowry's job. Lowry is synonymous with clutch.

    nah it's just you.
j/k yeah they looked as though they were just standing around throwing the ball back and forth. the entire team (with the exception of scola) looked like they would've rather been doing something else.

It doesn't matter, if you can't close the game, it means nothing.

Would of, should of, could of. He missed 1 FT to tie the game.

I rather we get blown out than have a player miss a FT to tie the game, that's called heartbreaking.

if this had been a game lost due to a bad shooting night, or the other team being superiorly talented... I'd agree with this...

however, we took their most prolific scorer out of the game, kept the Kings under 40% offensively, shooting worse than we did, Shane played outstanding defense... yet we lost...

the beat us on the boards, that's all hustle... they out-hustled this team, didn't out-play them...

He did force shots, but who else is gonna take them? Martin was shooting even worse than him, not to mention the offense was standing still for the entire 4th quarter. The offense for the last 10 minutes was Brooks dribbling in circles and jacking up a bad shot as the clock ran out as everyone stood around and watched.

Absolutely agree. Everything else is just noise.

I'm just dumbfounded as to why Anderson and Hayes were rotting on the bench while Jeffries is getting big minutes in this game and every game. This guy has no rebounding, no defense, and no scoring ability whatsoever. Despite his size, Jared "the Joker" Jeffries is absolutely worthless on both ends of the court. but Adelman is treating him like some kind of superstar? wtf?

Dude, wake the eff up: we are NOT making the playoffs. Even if we DO turn things around, we will not qualify this season. I'll bet you $500 we don't make it. If I win, you give me $100. If you win, I'll give you $500.

Even if Portland goes a lousy 11-8 down the stretch, we'd need to go an obscene 17-5 the rest of the way to tie them. Dunno if you saw us lose at home to a 6-21 road team in the Pacers, or tonight against a 5-26 road team in Sacramento - to name but two of twenty examples - but we ain't doing it this year.

For the love of God, let's talk about relevant things, like the 2011 draft, team chemistry, K-Mart, which FA to pick up in the off-season, Yao's daughter's citizenship status, and leave the playoff talk to Blazer/Suns/Thunder/etc fans.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

Brooks took 25 shots but only have 30% this game.
He undoubtedly has most of responsibility for the loss....

To be honest, and perfectly fair to the Kings, I think 1/2 to 3/4 of their offensive rebounds were lucky bounces that landed right where they were standing.
