Ariza and Lowry are really good at grabbing loose balls (that's what she said). We are really missing them.

Its was like 2mins left in the game and I remember everybody looking scared....Aaron passed it to almost everybody on the floor and they passed it right back w/o even trying to make a move, then aaron threw it out of bounds....

....I was thinking, wtf is wrong with the rest of our players....nobody wanted to take a shot

We are not close but we are not mathematically eliminated yet. Don't stop fighting til the end.

Would you guys rather lose Scola or Landry thru the KM trade?

    Scola, hands down.

But that's why we didn't; Landry was more valuable.

That's because our 4th quarter go-to guy was on the other team! :(

Scola brings a lot more of intangibles in games, that's not shown in boxscores (apart from his superior rebounding), but it's very important for winning teams......

BTW, Landry is 3 year younger, but Scola is so durable, that I wouldn't be surprised that Scola has the same or more prime time years as Landry.

I like Landry a lot, but I would have kept Scola too, he is the better player.

What sort of intangibles are you referring to?

Better rebounder, better offensive moves, more experience, and has a knack for getting under other players skin (ask D west). I'm not saying all of that to say he is 'that' much better than Landry either. I think most on this board think Landry is better because he dunks it more than Scola and had been playing fairly well this year in the 4th. In the bigger picture (Morey knowing he will go after a legit PF) Landry was moveable.

Scola is definitely a better defensive rebounder. I'd give Landry more credit on the offensive glass, especially because when he gets a hold of it, he's more capable of finisher/drawing fouls on the put back attempt.

I don't agree that Scola has better offensive moves. Landry's got a much better first step facing up, he's got the turnaround jumper in the lane, and an effect jump hook. Landry can spin right or left and get off a good shot for himself. Scola's got some deft foot work and nice scoop shots, but he's extremely right-hand dominant. His most effective move is probably his righty jump hook off the glass, but it is a very predictable shot that can be scouted easily. And he's easier to defend because on the block has to score by getting around the defender rather than going over the defender.

I'm not sure how much advantage he gives us with his experience and getting under other players' skin.

    I disagree.

    Landry > Scola

Not by a very large amount but its the truth

Brooks is not a right choose for the main player, his shoot is good but he can not do good defence as his height. A good team should not mainlly depend on it's PG's shoot. Brooks is only a good alternate player.

Landry is more athletic and a better scorer, Scola is far better rebounder and defender....and has far higher Basketball IQ, which means a lot of intangibles, which means he's very productive not only scoring, but also in team offense and D (with or without the ball)....

For a ring contender, having Yao and 1 or 2 good outside scorers, do you think a than a player like Landry would be more needed at the Pf spot than a player like Scola?
