Yeah let's start of with the truth. We did not have 2 of our main rotation players for this game. Seems like that is being overlooked. Say what you will, but having Lowry and Ariza playing makes a big difference. They make up for the offensively challenged Hayes and Battier in the starting lineup. Lowry is a better defender than brooks and gets to the line more than him. It makes a difference to have him in the lineup.

I know you mad we lost to the kings, but they are still a NBA team that has some talent and they have all their players. Brooks and Martin have been logging heavy minutes the past week. We have a 10 day contract playing backup PG for us. Those things matter, so please consider them. Judge the team once we have our full rotation in place.

Does Rick Adelman at some point during the game in a time out say to his players "WTF?? They are shooting 30% and beating us?? Get a freakin rebound, box your man out, how are we lettingn them get all these offensive rebounds!!"

It was a sad sad game, shouldve had martin shoot the last 3 or even with how Andersen was playing, I'd have him shoot the 3 last night over brooks

Meh, it was a wide open look.....good shot, he just came up short....which was not surprising considering Adelman gave him ZERO rest in the 2nd half.

It was a must-win game, and we have almost no depth at PG. The Rockets needed to have built a lead in the first half, so that Adelman would have the cushion to rest Brooks in the second.

I don't know Durv, they could have put Kmart at the point for a small stretch and gotten Brooks some rest.

Why not put in Kmart at the point when they had Garcia there....

    Kmart - PG
    Budinger - SF
    Battier - SG
    Scola - PF
    Jeffries - C

I understand the must win game, but everyone could see that Brooks was gassed, his shots were short all night long.

I hope that Rick takes a better rotational approach, but I would not bet on it.

Battier's defense was amazing. Rebounding was sketchy to say the least. Brooks seemed to tire and missed THE crucial free throw and THE crucial shot. Martin's shots were off and missed a late free throw. Lost a must-win game...maybe this is premature, but this game seemed to end our hopes for playoffs.

Even though Kmart can handle the ball he is NOT a PG...and we'd only have one ballhandler with that lineup making it easy for teams to trap us. We need Lowry, plain and simple.

I didn't say they were wrong to boo him. I just said it hurt.

No it is not just you. If your PG dishes out only 2 assists throughout the game then that is a very good indication why the other players are just standing around. The PG is supposed to be the facilitator, his priority is to set up his team mates, get them involved in the offense and make sure they execute on every possession. When your PG takes it upon himself to find his shot first before setting up his team mates first then you see the predictable results.

This is not just one game that this has happened. This has been the norm throughout this season and the Rockets' record shows it. Of course, there are myriad other reasons, like injuries to main players for instance, but this consistent lack of assists in the PG position is a very telling indication of why the Rockets are who they are this season.

"Nobody even had us winning 20 games"? Can you show me even one preseason source that said this? People had us winning 30, maybe a few more. Not 48, though, which we are decidedly not on pace to do. We're 30-30, so we're on pace for 41-41 (though I still set the over/under at 39.5).

Rockets were lucky that the game was even close. They were horrible on the board ....getting outrebound and constantly giving the Kings 2nd chance shot...this is what killed them. Did you know that Kings made franchise history with the most offensive rebound last night?? That's horrible....

plus it was King's 2nd game in back to back.

The only explanation is Rockets are tanking.

It seems like this is the only game you've watched. There is a saying that love is blind- and you are very much in love with Brooks- so just keep your Brooks fetish to yourself and stop criticizing other posters.

ha. You seem to think it is Brook's job to set up players before score. Why? Brooks and Martin are the main options on offense. When no one is moving, its difficult to get assists. And anyone that know **** about Adelman's system knows it is not set up for point guards to get assists. Brooks took far to many 3s but who did you want taking the shots? Martin? He was shooting even worse than brooks. The team lost because they could not rebound for ****! and let the Kings take 25 more shots than them.

It's amazing that starting a 6'9 PF and 6'6 C every night, the Rockets have rarely been outrebounded like that. But when it happens, it's not pretty...

Yeah that just about sealed it last night with the rebounding. I still can't believe the King's shot in the low 30's and won though. What a sad sad game that was.

I just want to see where all those people saying that we're a better team without yao are at? they've been awful quiet lately. there are many nites, but last nite was a prime example of why yao is so important to this team.
