Bad bad night for us.It got me wonder where the heck our problem is. Everytime we cut the deficit down to single digit or within one point, all of sudden we couldn't figure out a way to get the ball to fall. Apparently listless performance against Energized bunches of bunnies that could hit those flukey shots from top of the key. Energy and intensity really got us killed in the beginning. And yes,Houston,we have a problem.
no offense but heart doesn't make up for lack of height. it was like a volleyball meet out there tonight. between that and pretty much everything falling for the kings.
BTW, our PGs were pretty bad tonight.......yuck.....we need at least one of them to play well every game, but when they both are off it will get ugly. DD
the kings basically have two long 7 footers at the 4 and 5, we're not going to face two guys like that with shooting range and rebounding/blocking ability every night. And the chances of getting a big man who's tall and isn't a stiff via FA or a small trade/call up avre very slim. There's not many just floating around and it makes no sense to give up a significant player for a center we'll be renting for one year.
Our problem was the Kings. They played really well and they deserved the win. Our bench couldn't buy a bucket tonight.
Wow, this game was so much like a big upset college basketball game. Right down to the bad call that breathes life into the other team and sub-standard players making shots with guys draped all over them. Chuck Hayes clearly was planted and outside the restricted area but got the blocking foul. And Nocioni and Udrih aren't going to make **** shots like that every game. And Evans hitting that banker was the icing on the cake. This friggin' guy shoots like 38 percent from the field, what a joke.
So far we have been lost to Porland, Lakers, Marvericks, and Kings. Honestly I only feel shame on this loss, because we didn't show any heart. I don't think Kings is a elite team. We lost this game for the efforts.
1. Our PGs were struggling, forcing some bad shots and passes. 2. Our offense sometimes randomly stopped moving, everyone without the ball would stop moving. 3. We looked really lazy on defense (minus Battriza) as a team. It didn't help that everything was falling for the Kings. 4. Do we have a bench? 5. The referees were off their game.
A lot of our fans are sore losers, they just need to accept the win. There are gonna be nights where the ball is just rolling the other teams way, nothing new in the NBA.
Good game. Tyreke Evans, like Brandon Jennings, has really turned his team around. Those two are neck and neck for ROY.
Tyreke Evans has 9 offensive rebounds according to ESPN's boxscore. Please tell me it's an eternal error (I did not watch the entire game)
They did, but the refs swallowing the whistles and letting the teams play physical was really bad for us.... I was shocked Adelman was not more active about the lack of calls....we can not get into a knuckle brawl...we need to play pretty. DD
and i'm wondering what kind of loss would ever be acceptable on this forum with some posters.....it's always the rockets' fault, no heart, no talent, no pg, no offense, no defense, no passing, no rebounding, no shooting, etc. Sometimes you have an off night and the other team doesn't, sometimes they just play better or have more talent. SUCK IT UP and move on to the next game folks...
