I‘ll give Yao B,for the defense that Utah played on him was really hard.
RA D. He watched Ron and Wafer Running like chicken without head, and did nothing.

    a bit harsh, but fair.

only i'd give adelman a "d" as well, if not an "f".

brent barry deserves a F. Missing 3 consective wide open 3s in a row with yao kick out and offensive boards.

well only ppl rockets have coming off the bench now is lowry wafer hayes and barry... so the descrepency shouldn't be too surprised. I'm more surprised that the starting unit allowed jazz to do watever they want out there

Yao is our franchise player that needs to carry us in the playoffs, I expect him to play accordingly.

Adelman benched Wafer when Wafer committed too many mistakes. People don't understand that Adelman (and the rest of us) will have to live with Ron struggling at times and Yao can't get going also. It's not like Adelman will put in White for Artest when Artest is in a funk.

Shane was definitely the best player for the Rockets tonight.

I just hope his three point shot isn't fleeting.

why dont rockets run some full court press against jazz since their such a methodical half court offensive team. Perhaps brooks hustle williams right after inbound can take them out of the flow a little. The only team I see doing this regularly is the lakers which is pretty annoying but effective instead of letter good pgs dribble up slowly and the other players set up all their plays

but if we avoid the jazz and still bounce out of the first round, then karma is a b**** sometimes. and we'll NEVER get THAT monkey off that back. high reward high risk i guess. think about it.

That's another reason to miss Landry.

Just can't believe that game was played by the ROCKETS,lots of ISOs and one-on-one situations,one-on four or five defenders fastbreak?

Damn,we deserved a loss anyways. We need to wake up,it's got a lot to handle, problems surface tonight that we can't control our pace when against well-disciplined teams like SA,Utah, etc.

Still couldn't calm myself, but it's good to know Shane finally found his shooting touch.

Well, its a matter of, do you want to get out of the first round and lose in the second, or hope for the best in the first round to beat the Jazz?

IF Yao is our franchise player, other teammates must know that they have to pass the ball to YAo in crunch time, our bench players scored 11,but Utah bench players scored 34.
Yao didnt shoot well tonight, but that not the reason why we lose.
    Anyway,we deserve to lose tonight.
If we win,our players may not see the problems.

If he's having that much trouble getting position, then they need to use him differently. Give him more face up shots, set picks to get him deeper position, etc. They need to get him in the gym and beef up his shoulders and arms, that's the real solution.

I saw at as one less j*zz face to look at.

I sweat one time they had the camera on Kirilenko's face for a good minute or two, i'm sure they lost plent of viewers because of this.

    dude please stop...

he had 21 against dallas, 20 against the lakers, 23 against the spurs. In the games where he didnt score 20+, he had about 14-17 and shot well, just didnt shoot enough to get more points.

Also, they haven't played the other 6 teams completely yet. They still face portland, dallas, NO, SA, and LA in the next few weeks. So it's not that he didnt do well against them, they just havent played them as much yet, so it's less noticeable.

Can't use him differently. Yao is not an active big man around the basket and he's hands and feet are pretty slow coupled with the fact that he is not very athletic. Shaq is so effective during his prime is because he is so big and strong so he can post up anywhere he wants. Going to gym is not the solution because yao already spent lots of time in the gym. This team is dangerous when the outside can knockdown shots and thats when yao is most effective. I take the chance of him going 1 on 1 with any player in this league. But on a night like tonight, even when he gets the ball, jazz can collapse on him without worrying about the others.
