my middle school coach told me about 3 things to win a game.

    1. free throws.
    2. boxing out.
    3. defense.

defense was horrible, especially when rafer let deron go to the basket twice in a row.

you know what, now that i think about it, winning the next 3 games are winnable, if we have those 3 things done.

tmac better do what boozer did, go to practice 1 and a half earlier, and make atleast 80 out of 100 free throws.

and the refs... can't do nothing about them, even with them, it was winnable. i'm gonna have to write a big poster sign, with me going crazy, so national tv will have to look at my poster sign.

the poster sign, will gonna have to say something about the refs being gay.

It's easy to blame the free throws and the poor shooting and often poor decision-making (Bobby Jackson says hello!) on offense but screw that. I'm just sick of watching Utah games in which I keep counting uncalled fouls possession after possession after possession. One, two, three, four, five fouls...over and over. For a basketball team they play hockey pretty well and the refs reward them for it.

We are losing these games for 2 reasons. Neither of them is T-Mac or FT shooting.

    1) Rebounding
    2) Deron Williams

This game was over as soon as Deron Williams stepped back onto the court in the 4th. He completely owned Rafer Alston when he needed to. Total dominance by their PG over our's.

Rebounding is obvious. It wasn't just that last play. The Rockets are getting killed on the boards, especially when the game is tight.

Heartbreaker, but I'm proud of our guys. We're on the way up. McGrady's still young, Yao's young, Scola's young, so is Landry, Brooks, Battier, and Alston (well, not that much, but not too bad). That's 7 core players you can build on right there. I'm telling you, they just need to keep this group together, this 7, and add 1-2 really solid players, and they will be a championship team, barring the obvious injury factor.

    Yao
    McGrady
    Battier
    Scola
    Alston
    Landry
    Brooks

I'm really pumped about the future.

Let Yao lead the team shoot FTs at least one hour after each practice. Those who shoot less than 75% should be fined $2,000 US as donations to children's voluntary organizations.

    [Jay-Z:]
    Yeah
    Aight
([MC:] We're gonna do it like this)
    Let's go
    Jigga

    [MC:]
(Gimme your love, gimme your love)
(Gimme your love, gimme your love)

    [Jay-Z:]
    Aight
You gotta bounce to this like this
    You almost kinda watching this
    Aha, whooo
    Escape

    [MC:]
    Boy your love's so good
    I don't wanna let go
    And although I should
    I can't leave you alone
    Cause you're so disarming
I'm caught up in the midst of you
And I cannot resist at all
    Boy if I do
    The things you wanna to
The way I used to do
    Could you love me baby
    You leave me feelin used
Cause you go and break my heart

Heartbreaker you've got the best of me
But I just keep on comin' back incessantly
Oh why did you have to run your game on me
I should have known right from the start
You'd go and break my heart
(Gimme your love, gimme your love)
(Gimme your love, gimme your love)

    It's a shame to be
    So euphoric and weak
    When you smile at me
    And you tell me things
    That you know persuade me
To relinquish my love to you
    But I cannot resist
    At all
    Boy if I do
    The things you wanna to
The way I used to do
    Would you love me baby
    You leave me feelin used
Cause you go and break my heart

    [Jay-Z:]
    She wanna shop with Jay
    Play box with Jay
She wanna pillowfight in the middle
    What a night
    She wanna drive my benz
    With 5 of her friends
She wanna creep past the block
    Spyin' again
    She wanna roll with Jay
    Chase skeeos away
She wanna fight with lame chicks
    Blow my day
    She wanna expect the rest
    Kick me to the curb
If she find one strand of hair
    Longer than hers
She want love in the Jacuzzi
    Rub up in the movies
    Access to the old crib
    Keys to the newbie
    She wanna answer the phone
    Tattoo her arm
That's when I gotta send her back to
    Her mom
    She called me heartbreaker
When we apart it makes her
    Wanna piece of paper
    Scribble down "I hate ya"
When she know she love Jay because
She love everything Jay say, Jay does
    And uhh

    [MC:]

t-mac, 2-4 free throws, one shot attempt and interferes with landry's rebound attempt.

what can i say; t-mac just isn't a superstar anymore and the rockets will never win with him as the first option. yao's absence only makes it worse.

    Rockets never had a chance.

T-Mac disappeared YET AGAIN in the 4th, missed clutch FT but he was not alone.

Scola missed and even Williams on the other team missed. But do not fear, the Rockets did not commit to the rebound because they only had T-Mac and Battier rebounding. Where was Carl? Why is Battier boxing out Okur, 5 inch taller and in better shape (due to Battier's injuries)?

    Why?

But who really cares? The Rockets made it a game and could have.....

    That was enough, I guess.

Now it's going to be all up hill and even if they win in Houston, they will have to win again in Utah. If you don't make FTs, it's not a game.

There is no way a top player like TMac can shoot so badly. Both on the court and FTs. He is NOT the player of the game.

If other players shoot so much they would have twenly something points.

I couldnt believe how bad the referees were tonight. Refs won this one for the Jazz.

On that last play you could clearly see Okurs elbow right behind Landry's head holding him down. Okur fouled way before Tmac hacked him. sigh...

The worst calls had to be when Scola hustled his butt off and ripped two boards away from Boozer, only to be called for phantom fouls. Ridiculous.

Gutsy effort, I love everything. Wish we play with as much heart next season when Yao is back. That win a couple of nights ago was a perfect 'ending' I was looking for, anything else is icing on the cake. I can't be disappointed with these guys. We have our top 4 players (Mac, Rafer, Bats, Landry) playing on one leg. These guys gave it their all during the season just to get in, and they bear the battle scars. I appreciate everything they gave and continue to give. I see no quit in these guys.

    Screw anyone who disagrees...

After the first two games, I would have agreed that the Jazz are more talented, however, I do not think so now, other than Williams. The Jazz do execute their offense better and limit the amount of mental mistakes. Tracy played well except for his free throw shooting which was really the difference in the game.

Landry played a nice game again and Scola was not much of a factor.

The more playoff games that these rookies experience, the better it will be for next year too.

I don't get why....these guys were paid millions of dollars to play the games. Why can't they make the freaking free throws??
