So, let's say the refs made that Korver call the other way. The way are offense was going, who knows if we would have even scored to TIE the game. Remember, we chucked up two prayers that made the game as close as it was. If that is how we stay in games, we are doomed.
MAKE YOUR F'ING FREETHROWS! You get paid well over what you should already. Make some god damn free throws. Thats why they are called FREE throws, Not TOP OF THE KEY Throws! ****! Geezuz!
Let's not talk about the offseason yet guys, we still have life as we have game 5 back in our building. On that Battier play on Korver, the refs were just assuming a foul was coming as to looking at the actual play. Tough luck on that call. Wished we could have had a chance to tie up the game or even take the lead if we secured a board after Deron Williams missed those 2 free throws. Gotta keep on fighting as our building should be rockin Tuesday night and proud of the heart our team has showed this series.
I think Adelman does not trust Novak's defense. Korver hit two quick 3's in game one when Novak as guarding him.
Hey, remember game 3? Those were two prayers as well, at least one of them were. The battier didn't exactly count as a prayer, it was just a feet behind the line. It wasn't some flying three pointer.
I really wish it was only a matter of making FTs but it isn't. Do you realize that the Spurs are the winningest franchise in all of professional sports over the last decade and that they won 4 championships in 9 years while being one of the worst free throw shooting teams in the league for much of that stretch? I'd love to think the Rockets are just a few FTs away from winning a series against the Jazz but sadly I think it is much more than that.
Even healthy Alston's not the penetrator that Brooks is. That's why the Rockets got him--insane speed. Alston may be the best PG the Rockets have, but that's really a comment on how poor the Rockets are at that position.
No Matter what he should make those free throws unless he is shaq or his hand is broken on got lodged in his ass while he was picking a wedgy! ****!
Utah Jazz fans are delusional... "I'm glad the Jazz pulled that one out, especially after the league tried to give it to Houston." What??
You know what amazes me about T-Mac? You can see in his eyes that he has given up. I think Alston and Deke were trying to motivate him several times over the last two games but T-Mac has mentally already thrown in the towel. I think that Deke was trying to pump Tracy up after one of the timeouts late in the game tonight and T-Mac said something that caused Deke to turn his head away in disgust. Yet, with only half his heart (and half his body) he still puts up a near triple-double. The dude is just ridiculously talented even when he is playing with low confidence.
I remember in 1995 when Houston beat Phoenix after going down 3-1 that the Rox had lost the first two games at home and lost the fourth game after having a 21 point lead in the second half. So, if Rox could indeed win the next three. I expect the Rox to win Game 5 and if they turn in a good effort to win game 6 in Utah, then this series could be won by the Rox. This Utah tam is not as talented as the Stockton/Malone teams that gave us so much trouble in years past.
Here's my summary of 2nd half: 3rd qt: #Tmac, Rafer, BJ takes turns to heave up 3s and long jumpers. A few of Tmacs post up goes in. But overall, it's very difficult for Rockets to hit a jumper. In the meanwhile, Jazz takes almost all their shots inside, by driving, driving and dishing and passing quickly. Tmac also misses defensive assignments. Big deficit. # Finally, Tmac and RA have 2 consecutive 3s to go in. Tmac seems to get a little more energy and a little less frustration, he drives more. Rockets cut leads down to 6 also. # Tmac sits. Rockets continues to play hard. They maintain to be within striking distance despite BJ's atrocious play, mainly because Jazz also goes to a stretch of shooting from outside and missing. # Tmac comes back, but attacking mentality isn't there any more. 4th: #A lot of back and forth for both teams. Jazz does play well also. # Landry bails out Tmac many times. # DW starts abuse RA. # sloppy play after Timeouts, Tmac turn over. Offense stagnant again. # Until...Battier hits the big 3, and life is back. # You know the rest. Missing rebounds and what not.
Please...for the Love of God can we stop with all of the "T-Mac quits on the team" "T-Mac has no heart."....If you believe that he quit on the team tonight, your a damn idiot, and I mean that in the most polite way. You think he enjoys not making it out of the first round? Just because he doesn't show it like other players do, does not mean he has no heart when he is out there, or has given up. Did he give up on that last free throw missed by Deron Williams? He went up for it, came from the other side, and tried to grab it, but Okur was in the right spot. So please..don't say the guy has given up, unless you are actually Tracy McGrday, and you know you have done so.
yeah i agree with you, insane speed... but what about the defense? i thought alston did a great job of defending dwill... even though he did let him drive in twice late in the fourth, however i think the only reason why rafer was a step slower was that his injury was bothering him.. u know playing those minutes and playing injured, it WILL, not may, but it WILL slow you down... same goes to mcgrady, battier, landry..
I'm just wondering what the plan for the PG position is. If Brooks is the future, and there's been some indication that management sees it that way, why not get him as much playoff experience as possible?
