Great, great game. I was really impressed with how the Rockets looked in their 4th game in 5 nights. Kyle Lowry was awesome the whole game. I was really proud of Yao--he played like a tough SOB. Battier's utter lack of offense is killing us though.

The officiating sucked, but the real problem is twofold:

    1. Deron Williams is really freaking good
    2. Boozer/Okur is a very tough match-up for Yao, especially in Utah where they play so well.

You know how it is with the stupid floppers and fans.

    UTAH SUCKS.

They would have won this if they didn't miss their FTs and FGs...

They can beat them on a good day of rest. UGH, I hate the JIZZHOLES!

I've noticed that in every close game the Rockets and J-Azz in the 4th the J-Azz always find a way to flop to win in the end. Just remember what AK-Cry Baby did to Scola last year in Game 2 of the playoffs.

Plus the Utah fans and crowd suck.

Also, I don't want to sound racist but I noticed there isn't one black guy in the stands. WTH?

I second this. Alderman should be use Deke in that game. seriously, let Deke be suspended for few games and have him take okur or boozer out.

Boozer isn't willing to risk any injury as we saw on TV last night. he's waiting to cash in on the FA. take it to him and give him couple of elbows.

And Hakeem picked up his pivot foot on every single Dream Shake.

The Brewer flop was bad, but what was more stunning was that Boozer, who is hardly 6' 9" and who can not jump high could grab 17 rebounds. He does that only against certain players, especially against Yao. If you look closely at why he is able to do it, you will find that he holds and grabs Yao at every rebound, goes over Yao's back and whacks at Yao's arms at every opportunity, and guess what, he doesn't get called for any fouls.

The flops maybe infuriating, but the pushing, shoving, hacking- illegal in every nba rulebook- are not called when they are used to brutalize Yao. Yao is held and pushed everytime and I guess the refs are just too intimidated by the sick Jazz fans to call anything.

I often hear that the Jazz are tough at home. Well, they are tough there because they can get away with anything short of murder and they would only get called for a fraction of the fouls they commit against visiting teams- especially the gentlemanly Rockets. How can you not be tough if you are protected by the officials. This nba is nothing but a racket and it would be an insult to most fans to expect fairness from this almost criminal organization ran by the Stern Gang.

Actually, that wasn't called a foul. If you recall there was another play in the 4th when Yao wasn't vertical (shortly before his bogus offensive foul) and Brewer crashed into him that wasn't called a foul.

Two steps from a stationary position. As clear of a violation as Deron's "palming."

David Stern has ruined the NBA. The officiating is a joke. When will this dude retire? Someone has got to clean up this flopping garbage. It takes away from the integrity of the game. What does the league care as long as they are making money though, right?

Honestly, this is when I wish we had a bruce bowen, a robert horry, a bob sura on our team. We need someone to lay some of those jazz holes out. I hate that team more than anything!! I hate AK, I hate Boozer, I HATE D WILL for playing w/ those tools.

It's evident the ref's don't rewatch the games. If they did they would realize how pathetic a job they are doing and would do their best to correct their mistakes. Instead we need to either:

    A) if you can't beat them join them.. take some flopping classes
    B) get dirty and play dirty. Elbow them on a rebound. step under their legs when they are going up for a jump shot.

This is pathetic.. The NBA isn't what it use to be. It's not even that fun to watch anymore b/c its WWF 2.0

    Wrong...again.

He rotated on a pivot foot, reversed...on the same foot and jumped away...it is not a travel...and it is irrelevent to this discussion, Hakeem is not even playing anymore...straw man ! But see for yourself....

And DWill Carries EVERY single time he does that crossover......I hate that NBA officials allow players to palm the ball it is a severe disadvantage to defenders......

Just watch him on this cup it, hold then reverse it....a clear carry.

I don't like it when Rocket players do it either.....just call the danged game the right way.

Outright, I am more upset that Battier was left in there for 41 minutes. I know he is a great defender, but I really, think we could have given 5 minutes or so of that work load to offensive players like Wafer or Barry, in order to give Shane a bit of a rest so that he can come back in and really work on his assignment, as well as whatever points they might be able to score.

You're thinking of Patrick Ewing, he never played for the Rockets.

and once again Shane "Casper" Battier disappeared in yet another game

I dont care what anyone says...Shane battier cant be having 0 and 2 point nights in games like this....There is no reason a starter should be putting up any points..4pts?....Hell, if you start chuck hayes, he can get atlest 5 or 6 points...

Needs to be addressed, but I was proud of Kyle...he was a beast last night, and the flop by brewer is disgusting

I agree that if Artest is resigned, Battier is a goner, along with Brooks or Wafer for a good SG (unless McGrady thinks he can play team ball).

What i would like this offseason is for us to use our assets to maximize our chances, most teams will have major movements so adjusting fast will be escential, and keeping our core (Yao-Scola-Artest) will make it easier for us.

I think we draft a PG and look around for a SG. We have one of the better group of assets Battier-Landry (or Scola but i prefer to trade Landry while healthy)-Brooks and Hayes-T-Mac and Barry expiring contracts.

I'm sure they didn't cherry pick Hakeem's clean moves for that feature on him.
