One play that really just sums up the game for me..not sure if ya'll saw it or not, was the jump ball between Yao and Okur. During this play..Okur grabbed a hold of Yao's off arm, and then acted as if Yao was holding him down. One of the cheapest plays I've seen in a while...
Typical Jazz practice 1pm - 2pm: How to set moving screens 2pm - 3pm: Circumventing a box out by pushing the guy in the back a little to get the rebound .This will be led by Boozer. 3pm - 4pm: Flopping - Andrei will head this one up.
yeah i just saw that game - it's hardly anything new. Remember the kings got screwed by the refs when they played the lakers? it was obvious the league wanted the lakers to win. I suspect this year's final would be the same - it would be heartbreaking for RA to experience this twice if rox ended up playing lakers for conference final.
I just felt that there was no ball movement that game. Yes the flopping sucks but where was the plays and the movement. only 14 assist. Lots of late turnovers. Lots of work to do. Utah had an off night averaging only 13 turnovers a game and they had 19 turnovers. They still beat us. The reason why is because the utah players know there system and there always in rythem. No one is standing around. Its way more crisp. We need to be like that come playoff time. With our players and adleman system, we can be a great team once we get consistent on running the system.
it's hard to run anything when you get fouled so much - they should practice FTs every time before they play jazz, like today if they made their FTs we'd had a win.
What a grade A *******. One day Brewer will be sitting with his kid on his knee telling the story of how he made the game winning flop!
I agree on this, I remember Yao tends to miss the And1 FT after fouled... Anyway, for this game is a different senerio I can tell from Yao's play, his posting got lighter and more smooth approaching the end, he really got his tempo and just about to got back from Jizzhole... and then official official ended it and gave the W to them
Great post, thx! Not enough ball movement = not enough rebounding for tipped/long boards = not enough team ball = no chance to win agaist Jazzhole
Lol, that was funny. His kid will be like "Dad! If I learn how to flop like you do you think I can play for the championship-less Jazz?"
Yao did had a below-bar game in the first 3q, but till 4th, he came up strong and found his pace to dissect Jazz's D system and he created coherent plays serveral time. I think he might got better focus or really pissed off by the ill-treatment from his 8 opponents. If he could stay on the court, we might enjoy a big win by now. For Wafer, I really hold my breath for every pocession he had, either worring he might screw it or looking forward to sparks out his explosiveness. Let us hope the best for Wafter, not to become Head II. BTW, I still miss Head's 3s....
I really wanna to say, "Fk the Refs"!!! Yao, attack Akur and Boozer next time, let them cant play basketball forever!!!!
Just to think if we could have hit a few more FT's we might have had a better chance of winning the game
