People need their scapegoat I guess. I'm expecting "Ariza ISO'ed by teammates" or "Why doesn't Trevor smile from the bench?" threads pretty soon.
Arizas only 24 ARIZA HATERS, I really thought by trading tmac that all the TMAC HATERS would be happy and now seem to be picking on ARIZA. Seriously guys ARIZA is only 24 he's kind of like a ROOKIE. A rookie with HIGH EXPECTATIONS, Ariza was giving the #1 options because Adelman and Morey believed in him. We all have to support that reason and stop hating. We all need to get on the same page and support Arizas youth in learning how to play the game as the #1 OPTION. Seriously stop hating this is why you guys aint the GENERAL MANAGER AND HEADCOACH OF THIS SQUAD!
Ariza: Please, don't trade him. Morey: What? Ariza: You don't understand. (Ariza storms out of the room.)
Aaron Brooks and Carl Landry are the two guys that should be number 1 options. Trevor should be 4th at best.... He only started 20 games last year, and barely played 24 minutes a game, he is not really anything more than a decent role player. Whether we overpaid or not is in question, it was what the market was paying....but man.....they need to reign him in, because he is killing this team out there by trying to do too much. He is just not that good at offense, especially dribbling, passing, or well much of anything really. DD
Omg, can you idiots stop complaining after every loss. We just lost the final 2 minutes, you guys keep complaining "we have no go to guy, we suck". God this is so damn ridiculous. I agree that Ariza trying to create and takign that 3 that airballed pissed me off, but Battier is doing his part. now your just making up lies, he's moving around he's not camping anymore. Sheesh, people like you amaze me.
I've actually seen signs of him being a really good passer. He makes a lot of very good passes between the bad ones. Turnovers haven't been a huge problem for him. He actually turns it over less than Brooks. If there is one thing that has suprised me most about Ariza, it's been some of the good passes he's made. He also can see over the top and uses that to his advantage at times.
We really need to stop turning tha ball over so much, we had them in every thing except turnovers and that is what killed us. Still I am still surprised we blew our lead at the end.
That 3 he airballed was off a pass to his ankles late in the shot clock from Brooks. I'd actually put that particular play more on Brooks than Ariza. I'm not saying that he has terrific hands. Some players may have been able to collect that pass but Brooks made 2 passes like that tonight. One time on the play we're discussing and another to Scola early in the game.
Awesome. You are among the elite photoshoppers. Right there with BugOnAHarley and Landlord Landry and a few others I'm probably forgetting right now.
I think he will be great at the entry pass to Yao, but anything that requires more than 1 dribble is uber risky... And tons of his passes are late, or at or below other players knees. Him b****ing at Battier after he passed it into the third row was amazing.... Trevor needs to start waking up, looking in the mirror and b**** at that guy... DD
overall it was a good game we have to learn from losses like that although im still angry......bad luck Rockets we need to Win the nxt one
Interesting what Adelman had to say after the game: On the game: “I’m very disappointed with the loss. I’m trying to find out what an offensive foul is. That’s all I want to find out is what an offensive foul is. Is it more than slapping a guy’s hand away, is it more than stepping in front of a guy, is it more than putting a shoulder down? I don’t know. That’s all I’ve got to say about this game, otherwise it’s going to cost me.” http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/rockets_drop_heartbreaker_big__2010_01_02.html
Personally, I'm not really worried about the mistakes this season but I can understand why others are getting so frustrated, particularly after the unexpectedly good start 30+ games in. I like that Ariza is pushing the envelope. He can and will get reigned in when the time is right. One of the geniuses of Adelman is allowing players to grow and step outside of the box. When we have all the pieces in place, Adelman will put Ariza back in check. The bonus is that Ariza will have grown in ways that he wouldn't have under most other coaches and that is when the benefit of learning from his mistakes will pay off. This much I totally agree with. I was skeptical when it was just Brooks, who is a relatively inexperienced player still learning the ropes. When I saw him do that to Battier tonight, I commented on it immediately. He gets hot and loses his senses in game despite being a more calm, soft-spoken person off the court. He needs to stop losing it like he did with the forearm. He needs to stop pointing fingers at teammates and whining about their mistakes, particularly during the course of a game. It's bad for him and it's bad for team chemistry.
Pretty much what I expect and want Adelman to say. That Posey flop was utter bullcrap. Yeah I'm looking through it with Red colored Rockets glasses but I would think the better team would get the benefit of the doubt over the crappier team.
