that last foul on landry was awful. that an paul gets all kinds of garbage calls. and we didn't finish it out. one of the few really dissapointing games this season.
Landry being in foul trouble the entire game was the biggest reason for the loss IMO. He never found his rhythm and the Rockets could not rely on their best post player and fourth quarter guy. That put too much pressure on the perimeter players to compensate, leading to the fourth quarter collapse. Ah well. Can't win them all.
Let's calm down and take a calm look without "OMG TREVOR SUX!!"" Really, it came down to they had Paul and we didn't, plus our execution in general was pretty sloppy, which created turnovers. Combined with the fact that Landry had an off game, and ah well. I'll admit, I thought this was relatively one of Ariza's better games. Aside from the turnovers, it was pretty good, as he wasn't having one of his 3-15 games or whatever. I will go ahead say that at minimum we are desperately missing if not a wing, Chase at this point, as the limited minutes that we saw out of Taylor shows he's nowhere as good, and frankly deserves him highly limited minutes. Finally, this game also showed how anyone who would be disinterested in an Iggy-Sammy for T-Mac trade is a fool, as they have the qualities we were missing in the end. A very irritating loss, particularly given the next two games, but oh well. The Schedule from Hell will be finished after this roadtrip, and things will get better from here.
Trend is blame Ariza. People have a hard time understanding that our starting lineup is not good enough to beat good opponents starting lineup majority of the time. It's not one player's fault.
Ariza whining to Battier for a turnover? Really? That is the crap I don't like. Ariza is "superstar" on our team. At least in his mind.
Unfortunately the NBA does not have a fair playing field. Yeah we sucked in the 4th qtr, but touch fouls on CP3 in the paint and none on the Rockets bigs (Landry) just leaves a bad taste.
but i will say it could have been worse, NO should have received some calls late and they didnt, like when brooks basically defended CP with clothesline defense and we got away with a few travels throughout the game too..
Rick Adelman is not a micro manager type of coach, he lets his players figure things out on their own this loss is on Ariza and bad execution down the stretch and a sorry ass flop by Posey
RA is a good coach, but his coaching at end of games sometimes leaves me scratching my head. In this game, he could have called a time out to settle a play or two during their 10-0 run.
