You can fault Lowry for playing his butt off, but the 4th quarter the keys need to be handed over to Brooks.
I understand changes need to happen, but after every loss theres a thread about trading someone that may have just had a bad game. My main point on that is that fans in general have VERY short memories. I also don't believe one trade will turn this team around, unless its a superstar. And the only superstar available is melee and i think thats too risky. I think maybe trade for a big man to help our dreadful D, then hope for a top 5 pick, if we don't get one, thats when the big trade should happen.
I'm glad more people are getting around to trading some of the players and retaining some of the younger players. I never felt we could make it very far even with a healthy Yao Ming. Everyone should be on the trading block.
Maybe Rick Adelman can take a look down I-10 to see how a vastly superior coach uses his bench, no matter what. You can't run your starters into the ground, that has been a common theme in Rick's tenure...he overplays his starters all the stinking time. And they lose a lot because of it. Character flaw....imo. DD
It is not just stubborn loyalty to players he likes. He also fails again and again when it comes to timely timeouts and matchup changes. I swear... sometimes I feel like I am watching Kubiak and the Texans play basketball; full of WTF moments by the coaching staff and all new ways to lose. Houston's motto should be; Don't worry... we WILL find a way to lose!
He usually uses them pretty well, but last night.... not so much! lol Im officially on the "Bring Mike Brown to Houston ship"
Scola played like crap & played all but 2 min should have subed for Hill for a few min No inside D 8ft from the basket Nobody under the basket to get a rebound Coach blew it for us not taking out scola in the 4th
RA Playing Scola Whole Game Is Dumb RA playing Scola the whole game is just dumb when he is playing like sh** RA should sub Hill for like 2 to 3 min stretch. RA needs to go he still does not know when to call a time out or put in the subs when the subs need to be put in it is gett old really fast
Oh yeah - right on! It's not like we've flirted with a .500 record the last 2 seasons despite not having a 'star' player of any kind. Sure, Brooks and Scola and Lowry have been huge for us (Brooks last year, Lowry this year) but is that despite Adelman, or as a result of him? Before last season I thought we had a wretched squad - they're mostly young and playing nice(ish) basketball - the trick is trading a couple of them for a genuine star. Don't blame the coach that McGrady and Yao had their careers ended early through injury - give him credit that despite that we haven't sucked badly for years.
Last nights game just about does it for me if RA is not let go soon I am done with the Rockets. We had a 17pt lead & still blew becuase of RA not doing the right things
When has threatening to quit being a fan ever gotten sympathy votes? Let me be the first to tell you so long.
why is it when we have a big lead through the whole game and at the last minute in the 4th quarter the team comes back and beats us
absolutely hate it when the coach plays the starters the entire third quarter. You can tell by the end of the third quarter that guys are gassed. He definitely needs to sub in quicker.
