Well we're not on their level obviously, this team is in a transitional/rebuilding phase. We can take moral victories.

Rox are 7-3 last 10 games. Keep that up we'll be alright.

Is it permanent? Drexler is my boy and all, but he is a moron as a broadcaster.

Good effort, taking out Chuck was a big mistake IMO. Gotta build on it. Lots of missed chances,Martin,Aaron,Luis in the 4th quarter. Shane had a fair game, couldn't hold Lebron.

    Wake up guys

it's not about the missed FTs
it's not about the missed layups

it's about DEFENSE, we have had several games this year like the golden state game, the Suns game

we are scoring enough points, but if you can't ****ing stop you opponent, especially those good ones, like stars, you are not going to win even if we go into the playoffs....

Wonder if TWilliams will ever get a chance to play. Hopefully SOMEone will play some g**damned defense.

When pitted against a star player, Kevin Martin's horrific D really stands out, like a cockroach on a slice of wedding cake.

Tough loss, but it was an expected one. I liked our effort, but we're just not in Miami's league yet. The way they are progressing, they're going to be the team to beat this year.

On a positive note, I'm liking how the second unit is coming together. Brooks seems more comfortable playing with the bench guys, though he still only seems about 90% of his normal level.

More importantly, Budinger finally put up a good performance for an entire game. Will it and should it be enough to keep Terrence Williams on the bench?

Missed FT's....missed open shots...and they shot 58%, it was a great game, and winnable if they shot a normal percentage.

We are a doughnut team, no center......and Miami will score on anyone....

great effort (lots of offensive rebounds). if we play with this effort, i don't care if we lose. more often than not, we will win with this type of effort. miami is just a top 3 team right now.

secondly, PLEASE STOP BLAMING THE REFS. rocket fans are smart fans. it's hard to blame the refs when we were called for less fouls and shot more free throws. it's ridiculous.

    Yao is done.

But with a guy like Varejao, we win this game going away.

The reason why Miami shot 58% from the field is because once Dwade comes off that screen, there was either no one taller than 6'6 between him and the rim, or our only shot blocker who is too dumb to rotate over. With a guy like Varejao that's either a block or a charge waiting to happen.

I have no doubt in my mind that if not Varejao, then someone like that will be brought here by the trade deadline.

We were right there with the best team in the NBA even without him. With a guy like that we make a deep playoff run. Add a superstar and we are contenders on par with Miami.

Well all the more reason Morey is working the phones. You see why you need superstar players. Its not just outplaying another team that is enough. You also need the fourth quarter calls and person to go to in the fourth. You need some sort of league and referee respect when it comes to momentum changing potential calls and plays. A team with a Superstar probably gets more respect down the stretch.

I can't stand all you people griping about Lowry's minutes!!! AB played his best full game since returning from injury, showed great leadership, didn't turn the ball over, passed well, scored well....and all of you STILL want to hate on him. Let's get this clear, this is NOT a "Lowry-hate" post, b/c I really like the way they play off of each other and share minutes. Give AB his props, he played a great game tonight.

Overall, I think everyone played good, not great, but good. Chase played decent offense, Hill played his usual tough game, Chuck-wagon was solid defensively and rebounding as well as playing GREAT offensively. I think the one player who under-acheived tonight was Courtney Lee. Where was he tonight? He didn't show up.

If K-Mart makes 2 or 3 of those missed FT's, and Scola makes one or two of the open jumpers he missed I think we pull this one out. It wasn't in the cards, and you can't really be TOO, TOO upset against the best team in the league with the most talent.

Overall: A+ for effort..... B for execution. That game we played tonight is a win against any other team in the league.

Now it's time to switch to NBATV to watch Blake Griffin vs. the j*zz

Somewhere Octavianus, t_mac1 are smiling about this W.

Meh, it is what it is. Cant say I was expecting a W but good effort. (Gary Kubiak would be proud of them)

I just don't see the whole Detroit Piston model ever working again. You need stars to win against the refs and other teams...

I thought AB looked a lot better tonight.

His ball handling is almost back completely.

Bud had a good game too.

I really hoped we'd win tonight, and I'd get to gloat about how our 14's better than their 3. Ah, well. If only we'd made our free throws!

Stop complaining about the defense everyone just made contested jump shots, and no one could have stopped Wade tonight*Ref help*. Also wasn't Martin clutch the past few games?
