But if Twill can play it might make CBud, KMart, or CLee available to land us that prized big.

    Friday is a trap game.

Toronto or Philly...early game (5:30 I believe) usually = a bad result for the Rockets.

Hope i'm wrong. Hopefully the sour taste from this game will have us ready to play the Raps.

So you've basically killed the guy before he ever stepped on the court in a Rox uniform? Your call but the potential benefit is enough to at least have hope IMHO.

I think Scola should be traded for the Big. Hill has played great in his limited time, can he be a legitimate PF? We never will know with Scola here, that's the cold hard truth.

Rox need to decide if they are rebuilding or trying to contend for the playoffs.

If a guy can't play for a solid NBA coach like Avery Johnson who knows a thing or two about winning and said guy gets his butt (where his head is firmly lodged) sent down to the D-League, to me that's a huge red flag. I most certainly wouldn't depend on a guy like that to help make the kind of difference this team really needs right now. How typical of the Rockets. They go dumpster diving for guys like Williams while San Antonio goes out and gets a DeJuan Blair, Tiago Splitter or Gary Neal.

You do know who our coach is right?

Hill couldn't even average 5 minutes in the beginning of the season.

Great effort, Miami is just too loaded. Please Morey, get us a big who can rebound and protect the rim ASAP.

No! Scola is the only consistent player thay have on the front line. Hill simply does not possess the depth of basketball skill that Scola brings to the table.

Avery clashes with his players. It was pretty much the reason Dallas sent him packing.

It's like saying Hill should have had red flags because he played for a winner in D'antoni also...but D'antoni just dislikes most rookies.

With or without Twill, this roster will be different after Feb. When Rockets announced Yao's injury, that is an end to this Era. All these players were brought in to surround 7'6 player who can clog the middle, create open jumpers. With him officially gone and Rumors of Rockets offering anybody for a trade, that leads me to believe this team is going to blow up regardless.

I do and I also remember Bud getting substantial minutes last season and Ish getting some playing time earlier in the year when they could have just slid Lee to the point from the very beginning. They gave up a 1st rd pick for the guy so I EXPECT to see him play but also expect him to earn those minutes.

I definitely disagree. Scola is a good player but he's far from untouchable. If you look at what Hill does in the limited mins he plays it is pretty impressive. The problem is when we play him at Center when he's a natural PF.

Ish got playing time because AB was hurt.

CBud got playing time because Ariza was playing some minutes at SG(before KM), which meant CBud had to get backup minutes at SF, which he impressed Rick.

If Twill gets minutes, somebody is sitting. C.lee?CBud?Hill? We already play a 10 man rotation, now 11 with AB. Unless a trade or injury, I highly doubt Twill gets more than 10 minutes a night which means somebody ain't playing.

That standing "o" that Dream received was worth the price of admission for me.

Avery wanted the Mavs to man up and stop being a soft, jump shooting team. He actually DARED to demand that they (you listening Dirk?) play some (gasp) DEFENSE. That was the root of the problem along with him trying to implement the SA system with a group of soft, entitled basketball players who whined to Mark Cuban if the melot in the locker room wasn't properly chilled. Hill had red flags because for an 8th pick in the draft, he simply wasn't very GOOD. He gotten a little better but I still don't see anything to make me believe that he's a special player.

Well that's only logical. Somebody has to sit to make room for the guy. I would be stunned if we just relegated him to bench much longer. We need a strong defender, and while Chase has been giving decent scoring his ole style of defense is unacceptable. Twill will find himself some floor time soon.

Problem is Rick likes his guys, especially guys he trusts. See CBud shooting slumps (where he still got 15-20 minutes)

You better pray Twill eats dinner with Rick every night.
