you're right, I don't know it, but the Rockets don't show their set immediately. There is always cross-screening and ball-swinging, etc. when they are running a full offensive set, which is what they were doing considering they brought it up from the backcourt (i.e. they weren't going 2-for-1)

So yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and assume the play was gonna be for Yao and not "Rafer go ahead and go 1-on-1 and see what happens no matter what"

    Looking at recent trends?

    Great logic there, chief.

How about you stop bullshi***** around and tell me why you think starting Luther Head or Von Wafer is better then starting Tracy McGrady. Hate on him all you want, but if you're going to be irrational and argue "hey, maybe we should never play McGrady again!", then you're digging yourself a deep hole.

Agreed, if T-mac (whatever is going on with him, either if its with Adelman or other issues) starts playing like the T-Mac we know, WE WILL be in the CONFERENCE finals for sure. We have a great bench and once we get healthy (hopefully), we will find our groove.

bah, just when i thought i have to stomuch another couple of days, where rafer's apologist will gloat for his 2 big plays,

worst thing happen, he blow up a layup- which i never expect him to make at the first place, and then he chose to double Joe Johnson when rox could have just foul and leave open Mike Bibby who made 2-4 3p at this game.... and yeah, rox lost.

See that is where we miss T-mac. He allows Yao to repost and get better position low on the block which allows Yao to get an easier shot. But at the same time not sure if we would of even been in the game if T-mac had played so that is a wash.

Also at the end of games the refs are letting them be physical with Yao which is the reason he has struggled at the end of games. Like the turnover late in the game.

Rox management and coaching staff should be bold enough to sit his a?s until the next home game. I dare him to play another "heartless" game in front of the home crowd.

Time is running out for the Rockets, the west is tough and just like that Rockets has been relegated to 8th spot. If I had a dollar for every comment beginning with faith and patience, I'd be a rich man. This is the NBA it is fast and competitive, you bring it 100% every game or say bye bye to the play offs.

A good team is more than the sum of its parts. For all of Tracy's talent, he has an undeniably negative effect on chemistry and results wherever he goes.

Yes, he was fouled but the calls don't go to the visting team most of the time but the refs blew that one and the one before when Wafer hit his shot over Josh Smith with no foul called.

The fact that we are depending on whether T-mac will start playing with passion is scary and sad. We shouldn't have to depend on that it should come. Unfortunately he is having some problems mentally and physically. Every year we have talent but just physically something goes wrong. This year it's mental and physical.

I hope we overcome this slump.

Of course coming into the season we thought we would have a healthy TMac, Artest and Battier by now and all are still hurt. The team we played tonight is one of the better and more athletic teams in the league right now and our team played them toe to toe in a very exciting game. I loved how the team played tonight and if the keep playing like tonight they will win the majority of those games.

His layup drives this year include his floaters and different types of shots. When he has the defender on his back and is using his body to shield him off (which you most often see from Rafer on fast breaks..rarely in the half-court sets), I believe he does usually finish them.

Yes, anytime a PG drives, he is going in against taller, quicker players. I don't see how that has anything to do with it.

No passing option, true, but he wasn't in a situation where he needed to pass even if there was that option. The layup was there, he created the contact and wasn't able to finish with more contact than expected.

Leaving Bibby was poor.. though I'd like to see a replay to see if rotation was supposed to happen

if that is true, then I totally missed it, I just don't see how the rest of the team couldn't have had that beaten in their heads the previous TO, whatev, I'm just blah.......no more words. need break from Rockets, grabs chest, faints, call doc.

    when is the next game?

I don't see how anyone can critcizes Rafer for that last shot. It was a great drive by him, made a nice move to the basket but he couldn't finish due to contact by the Hawks on him. Of course the Refs will not call that at the end of the game though.

When the score was 100:100, the rox had the ball as the hawk was over their foul limit & the rox had only 1. But we couldn't make a play. It was a tough loss to the hox.

Good team effort, comparing to last night.
