I only caught the second half but the officiating was horrible. The way the Hawks were being physical with Yao and getting away with it left no doubt Yao would struggle. Good to see Von go at it, hopefully the cramp is nothing more than that.

    exactly.

t-mac playing would have hurt the defense even more.

I would rather the Rockets win using whatever players they have at their disposal.

Your hate against McGrady is understandable, but incredibly irrational.

Quite the admirable effort by my rockets. They made me proud even though we lost. :D

I called it in the pre-game thread, Josh Smith is going to have a monster game. And now you all see why Josh Smith is my favorite player in the league ;)

Agreed, but that is still a high percentage nonetheless. We need to play better defense. No excuse.

    Tough loss.

Alston is the worst guy driving to the basket. He likes to extend his arms out with the ball when he's taking the 2 steps and let defender strip the ball easily. 2 good defensive plays and 1 bad offensive play. wth!

Good game, a lot of hearts.

Yao is still not a clutch player. Two TOs and missed rebounds in last 4-5 minutes were the main reason we did not win this game. He did not lose this game, but he did not win it for Rockets.

Don't blame Rafer, he was the reason we had a chance to win in last 1-2 minutes. He did not win this game, but he did not lose it either.

Yeah team played hard but this team was suppose to be a Championship contending team.

Not **** to be proud about. Another game another loss.

You either showed heart or not. The utmost quality of a contender team needs heart to win. For other aspects of the game, we can improve, not heart - either you have it or don't.

It says a lot when the Rockets make no attempt to post up Yao on the final possession, and instead have to rely only on Rafer to make something happen.

Yao is a No. 2 option on a championship team.

The defense suffers when Yao leaves the game. I can't wait for Deke to start playing, the defense won't be as bad for the 2cd unit.

Rafer givith - nice double steals...and taketh away....boneheaded dribble drive and he could have been at least in the same area code as Bibby, that was putrid D.

Yao was great in the first quarter and then ran out of gas.

Our 2nd unit looked pretty good though. I am actually beginning to buy into the idea of trading both Yao and Tmac.

Have you seen McGrady play recently? Even if he did play he would have only hurt the team.

good effort....but we relied on wafer brooks and rafer in the second half. It should of been Yao.

Yao can not lead the team.

I'll take this loss. They showed some heart at least. Rafer blew his assignment on bibby, but he stole the ball twice before.

We just didn't have any good perimeter defense. They kept getting into the lane and their bigs smith just kept taking advantage. We really need Ron or Battier.

One thing that bothers me is how Yao doesn't seem to get good position during crunch time. The guards force it into him anyway and since he's not in good position or he's off balance, he doesn't make the shot. Yao needs to do a better job of getting into position better.
