We will continue to see games like this until we get a tall, rebounding, shot blocking center. Even without a closer. with a GOOD big man, the Rockets would have won at least 6 to 8 more games.

Nice one, so cheesy. Sounds like something Jack Bower or Chuck Norris would say.

I am not knee jerking. I have made it very clear - I think they suck, I dont like them and want them off our team. But I am also the 1st one to congratualte them when they do have a good game (which is very occasionally anyways). And I will admit to mistakes in my comments or accept that I was wrong in my judgements if proven.

Brooks is only good at making plays for himself when he has full speed. He can take the ball past anyone. But without his speed he is just a spot up shooter. So for now, he is useless at creating his own shot.

Do we have to wait for Patty Mills to own him again untill you are convinced?

We really need an all-star big man desperately, not a Melo since we already have kevin martin.

Zbo just hit some tough shots tonight. Some of those plays Chuck played great defense it's just Zach made the shot.

I noticed how he was grabbing boards over Hill and changing our shots under the rim.

Chuck has named ZBo and Al Jefferson of Utah as the guys that he finds most difficult to guard. Tonight shows us we can't just rely on Chuck. We need that defensive center badly.

Wouldn't it be better if we just signed Zach Randolph. I think are biggest problem is we don't have that go to guy. Those guys are so hard to come by.
Arguably Zach is a better go to guy than Chris Bosh. Absolutely ZBO is a better offensive rebounder than Bosh.

We will have to overpay to get Zach but he gicves us the best go to guy we can get. Memphis can not afford Gay and Zach (IMO). We have to get below the salary cap enough to sign ZBO. The only way to do that is to trade Martin and Scola.

Buy out Murphy and sign ZBO in the off season.

Ok I am a little inebriated but I would love to have ZBO Anthony and Favors on this team with PPat and Brooks and Lowry and T-will and Lee and maybe even Yao if he comes back. Ish will be better next year and if we keep our 1st pick that will give us another project plus we will surely pick up some other assets

I suggest we trade Martin and Scola for Favors and Murphy and 2 1st rounders. And then do a deal for Anthony. If we don't keep Anthony we can Galinaro and another first. Ok enough for now. I am sure Morey will surprise us all.

I knew we weren't going to win when I realized that Adelman was on "bench Martin" mode. Martin doesn't get back into the game until 3 minutes left in the half despite tearing the Grizzlies apart for most of the half. Later, Martin warms the bench until 4 minutes left in the 4th QT with all our lead blown. Cool. You know what, why don't we just play martin UNTIL 4 minute mark so that we don't have to sit a guy until he's cold and have him to save us?

I love Chuck, I really do. But I've felt for the past two seasons that he's been out of place with regards to his role. In my opinion, Chuck is not a starter on most quality teams in the league. He's a backup who can provide energy, rebounding, defense, and the occasional points.

If Chuck were starting at PF alongside a legit center, he would be absolute dynamite. You can't name 5 player that play in the paint area that are better than him defensively. And his offense has improved to the point of him not being a negative. He should be our starting PF until Patterson is able to take over. We should trade Scola for a legit 5 that can block shots, board, and score in the low post.

Good list. But there's a couple guys on there that he's just as good as defensively. However, if he were playing the 4 and Garnett or Duncan were playing the 5, that would be dynamite paint defense.

This game showed that when our opposition doesn't play defense we can score points. In the first half Martin, Scola, and everyone else was making wide open shots from all over the court. But as we moved into the later stages of the game, Memphis played much tighter defense and the Rockets struggled to get a good shot. The Rockets would make several passes, fail to get a man open, and then take a difficult shot as the clock ran down. The Rockets have lost a lot of games late in the 4th quarter, because they can't execute their offense when teams turn up the pressure on defense.

Also, we saw how bad Hill is on defense. Randolph went around Hill with ease in the 4th quarter. Chuck did a much better job of staying in front of Randolph, but Chuck's lack of height was too much to overcome.

Patty Mills is the definition of knee jerking, he lit AB up when his ankle was hurt, so AB sat out the next game and Mills lit up a fully healthy Lowry.

Maybe you need to stop lighting up...

On a high at the end of the half with that superb break and deeply depressed at the way the game ended. In the end they simply wanted it more than we did. Memphis is NOT the better team. This was a must win against a lousy team and we gave it away.

You could see at the beginning of the 2nd half that the energy had changed, the Rox were still playing lolligag ball and Memphis picked it up on D.
