everyone overreacts over every loss. we're still making the playoffs.

honestly, who cares until we have a full team ready? i'll start caring about our quality of play after the all star break when everyone is hopefully healthy and ready.

even without our 2 stars, we should be beating them. i have to say 4 rebounds for a 7'6 C is pretty shameful.

It's just one minor loss to the lowly Griz?I don't buy it.

Guys on the floor showed no energy,no rebounding,no defense.Did the Warrior game come up some thoughts into their mind that they can outrun every opponent and outscore them night in and night out without our suffocating defense?No,100% absolutely no!

If we couldn't pile up enough wins before our stars healthy back in the lineup, everything we talk about is just imagination, much less playoffs. :(

Look at the Spurs and Dallas, they're picking it up play by play and stay focused night in and out.

On the contrary, what our players did on the court was daydreaming and wandering. We should play under the sense of urgency right now.I know everybody talks about the time after All Star break, but to stay in the competition,we should prepare well first, then think about the future second.

The things that bothered me most about this game was our help defense. I can live with Gay and Mayo getting their numbers, especially without Artest helping Battier, but our rotations were not existent today.

It was a lay up drill at the basket. Then on top of that, we made Warrick look like an all star. Just send players back and forth on him. He's not used to making decisions with the ball outside of dunkng. Make him make a decision to either pass or take a bad shot.

Another thing that bothers me is that Yao only has 8 fga's and Battier only had 4. I know Rafer and Wafer played well tonight, but we will not win a game without getting Yao the ball. Battier also could have had a few more post ups when they were intent on fronting Yao.

One positive is that Wafer played well today. He was attacking the rim with some power. We need more of that.

I don't know how Luther is still part of our rotation. He had one good game all year. He can't make a smart decision with the ball and he tries to do too much. If all he did is move without the ball and shoot open jumpers, that would be fine, but he thinks he's Chris Paul out there trying to do too much with the ball.

Hopefully Artest will be back tomorrow and Battier is okay to play back to backs now. The Hawks will be a good challenge for the Rockets as well.

Wow Luther Head has a -27 +/- stat. I usually consider +/- numbers to be useless (ever since the game where Steve Novak had +6 after scoring 2 pts while Yao Ming had +5 after scoring 20 pts 10 rebs and 3 assists), but damn that's a horrendous +/- number. I actually feel extremely sorry for Luther Head, his confidence must be shot to death :( Get it together man, remember how awesome you were during the JVG years!

head and hayes must go. i would package them for one guy. use that space to bring mutumbo back.

we need a good defensive-minded guard. those two make 3.9m combined.
those two for charlie bell. or even sefolosha and cedric simmons. or james jones when he returns. heck bring bogans back with foyle's contract. all these options work with the salaries. thoughts?

Grizzlies have a young talented team. We didn't have TMac and Artest.
They had Gay and Mayo on the back court, we had Head.
They had 2 centers can switch on Yao and make him ineffective.
Let's just put it this way, their strength hit our weak side while they canceled out our strength.

Get rid of Luther Head please~~
You can't give a person who can only play well in one or two games too many chances. Luther need to improve, but Rockets don't have time to wait.

did any one see how hard it is for yao to grab a rebound? he never jumps more than an inch every attempt, and if by some miracle he gets his hands on it in a crowd, he can never pull it down.
