    Dice is 6-9.

    The best help Yao can get is Rafer Alston hitting his shots.

    Rockets need more length & rebounding in the front court, especially against the big physical teams. Head to the Nets for Sean Williams.

    They also need to replace Skip, he is such an offensive liability at this point.

    Agree with those that want Hinrich, but the Bulls won't just give him away, especially with how successful they have been bringing Hinrich off the bench.

    I watched this game. This game merely improves once again Yao is an overestimated player.

    Our championship hopes are gone if we will be depending on Rafer the rest of the year. His good play last year was definitely a fluke! We can't risk this season on just his good play last year!! Trade Rafer and Luther for a better point guard!! :mad:

    What does your ethnicity have to do with the point your making? Yao had an off night--it happens to the best of them.

    Chinese see Rockets as their own team, that's why they get really disappointed when the team, esp Yao sucks. Believe me, if Yao gets 30/10 next time, they will come back singing "Yao Ming, Yao Ming, Yao Ming"

    For that trade to happen, MJ needs to go back to Chicago first.

    Gosh I hope that's not true.

    Everyone is saying it's great we lost by only 4 pts when we played poorly. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to watch the game tonight. My question is, how did Boston play? Did they also play uncharacteristically poor, avg, or well?

    Keep in mind if Boston also played poorly, it's very likely we may still lose when in mid-season form. =(

    When Battier comes back, the Rockets should stick him on Allen.

    What do you guys think of putting McGrady on Garnett at the end of the game during the 4th? KG always burns the Rockets with his mid-range game. Hayes isn't bad, but Garnett can still shoot over him, and Scola isn't fast enough to fight through screens.

    Yao - Perkins
    TMac - KG
    Artest - Pierce
    Battier - Allen
    Rafer - Rondo

    When will people realize this isn't Rafer playing poorly or shooting badly or going through a slump? This is Rafer Alston! What you see is what you get. How many more seasons will it take for people to understand this? By the time some of you realize what a liability this guy is our window of opportunity will have closed. If he had anything resembling a decent game tonight the Rockets would've won. He's not the answer. Rockets cannot compete against elite teams on a consistent basis with him at the PG position. I would go after Kirk Hienrich. For the time being, I would play Aaron Brooks heavy mins and hope Francis gets back sooner than later and can contribute. I would take Francis over Rafer's atrocious play anyday. I would even take a look at Marbury. This is how desperate the situation is vis-a-vis Rafer Alston.

    i still think Steve Francis has what it takes to be able to start for our team, i can't wait til he proves half of yall wrong. Rafer Alston is doing terrible ATM, but im sure he'll figure something out, if not then the rockets may dish him or just give aaron brooks heavy minutes. Luther Head i think should get more minutes as well, his shooting has gotten a lot better. We played good today despite the play of rafer, yao, and ron. YES RON. he did good on the defensive end but terrible on the offensive end.

    McGrady said a smart thing. 2 of our big 3 played really bad last night, but also 2 of their big 3 played bad too. So Yao's game wasn't really the reason why we lost, neither was Artest's.

    Rondo > Rafer
    McGrady = Allen
    Pierce = Artest
    Scola = Perkins
    Garnett = Yao

    That means it is on Rafer and it really is. He sucked badly and we missed him. If he had made at least 1 of those open 3s it would have been a different story.

    Btw, it is only 1 out of 82 games, really nothing that big especially early in the season. It was even good to see that Tracy McGrady finally found his jumper because it will help us in next games.

    Intersting to note tracy is averaging 24 points 6 boards 4.5 boards and 3 steals at a solid 45% clip over the last two games . he also has made 16 of his 18 free throws two. he is gradually getting there.
