because to solve the fronting problem we need a TEAM EFFORT and some certain plays designed, however, we have none of them, so...
beat cavs, lose bulls = 0 This was an epic fail after everything was going so well. When was the last time Yao touched the ball, can anyone tell me? Ron jacking fade away three's Timberwolves here we come
as bad as they all played in the 4th this one goes on the coach... he is more the reason than any of the players with these collapses.
Hello reality....where ya been. This game has made me sick to my stomach. While Artest played a good game, why not try and pass out of the 5on1 defense at the end there....maybe try and get a shot that wasn't blanketed. WTF?!?!?!? I'm so pissed right now I'm gonna beat my wife and dog. OK, not really.
That's Artest being a headcase, I know some of you are excited that Artest is taking on the leadership role, but hearing Reggie Miller saying that Artest truly believes himself to be the best player in the league is scary. He has taken some horrible shots ignoring the team, but for now some are going in.
Lack of ball movement in the 4th and too much 1 on 1 spelled predictable offense. We settled for jumpers and die by jumpers.
Well, it seems we can beat the good teams but can't beat the bad ones. This is a good thing since we will be in the play-offs.
The reason why we had a huge lead Artest The reason why we lost the game Artest Most blind members here would think Artest is that one tru Warier who drives to the rim everytime, but isn't this a "McGrady jumpshot" situation? It's really funny to be honest, no one here could tell that Artest is a horrible passer and a ballhog. Nobody in this team can get another player an open shot, NOBODY in this team can run motion offense when the team is on fire and when the pressure is on. THESE situations require ISO, it requires a player to do something. Artest was taking horrible shots, he wasn't once thinking about creating open shots for his Teammates. Brooks is the only one who can offer the dribble penetration and pass out, no one else can on this team, at least not anymore.
Knee-jerking starts in 3...2...1 While it was a disappointing loss, we need to look at things in a calm and collected manner. Some observations: 1. Refs went absolutely nuts in the last quarter. There was absolutely no way the Bulls, with all the reaching and shoving committed a grand total of two fouls, and we committed nine. 2. Yao was tired in the end, and this game shows why we need Landry. What is up with him anyways? He isn't even on the injured list, after all. 3. I know a ton of you will b**** about Artest, to which I will say: shut up. He played very well for most of the game. Yes, he missed the two threes at the end, but that's life. 4. Lowry is at this stage superior to both Brooks and Alston. While I wouldn't necessarily say that he needs to start, he needs more minutes. That said, he does need to learn not to foul so much, but things will get better. Once again, a disappointing loss, but that's life. Quit with the knee-jerking and bandwagoning, people.
Adelman has some issues. I know Miller was fronting Yao but they didn't even try to use screens to free up Yao.
tough loss to swallow.. seriously. i was even looking forward to this game since i was expecting some epic beatdown.. unfortunately what i witnessed was an epic chokejob/comeback
Adelman has to find a way to get around fronting. This isn't on Brooks, this has been a problem since FOREVER. The Rockets have to have SOMETHING to stop it or else teams are going to do this every 4th qtr and we're going to get the same crap. I'm not putting this loss on Artest or Brooks. Artest had a great game, he was feeling it all night long, once again this loss is on Adelman for putting Lowry on Rose TOO LATE. He waits until the game is TIED and then makes defensive adjustments when it was clear that Rose was driving and pushing around Brooks.
A complete dissappointment The rockets got too comfortable with their lead and blew it. Artest was 3-point happy and Aaron Brooks didn't do his job.
This was exactly what happened in the Portland game. Part of this is Yao's fault for his inability to break free and overcome the fronting. The other part is on Aaron Brooks. I saw distinctly on a couple of possessions where he just look terrified to throw Yao the Ball because he was being fronted. There were some opportunities to lob it to Yao but Brooks was too scared to do it I don't know what to say. This is going to be a recurring problem in the Playoffs. I doubt the Rockets will fix or address this issue in time. Disappointing is too weak of a word to describe this monumental collapse.
