who cares about streaks or stretchs, rox won 22 in a row last year, and once again failed to advance past the first round... which will be the same sad story again this year. team needs a rebuild, there is no way we can compete with these guys, I say keep yao(the only must keep is yao) scola battier maybe artest and then gut the rest of the team. but artest seriously cannot be the go to guy in the 4th, at those wasted positions with the 3s he bricked.. that he shouldn't have taken in the first place with the defensive pressure. definitely should have just went for the tie after the first miss.

Whats with every1 wanting Brooks head?? I mean he still has potential to be a great spark of the bench but I agree Lowry looks like the right choice to be the starter. I totally agree with this, we lose 1 game, and the sound of rampid bandwagon jumping is raining through the skies of Houston. Freakin ease up, we blew this game yes, but we just completed one of the best 6 game homestands in the history of this team, (first time we won every game in a 5+ homestand) we have been showing signs that we are improving. And this is just one situation where the YOUNG team has to learn from their mistakes, and pick it up in the next game. This Rockets team has turned me into a alcoholic with these type of losses . But there nothing us fans can do except sleep it off.
Whole game long Yao was playing like Tofu- he butterfingered multiple rebounds throughout the entire game and was passive. I noticed the whole game he did not go up and come down strong with the rebound like he did in the last few games, but rather stand on the ground looking at the Bulls players go after the ball. It's a mental thing with Yao, mental softness. The last play where Yao had the rebound GO RIGHT TO HIM and still fumbled it away was a microcosm of Yao's terrible play tonight. Also the team has yet to figure out a way to get the ball to Yao when he gets fronted. This needs to be permanently addressed, NOW. Lastly, keep Tracy away from the team. We were 6-0 without him and now he comes back and we're 0-1. The Rockets simply don't want to see him and lose focus when somebody they don't want to see is sitting behind the bench. If he's there against tomorrow we can look forward to a losing streak. And lastly, we would have won this game if we had Carl Landry. We need you man!

A much needed lose to let this team calm down and really look at themselves again (with Tmac out of the picture). AB needed more bitter experience to be better, and now even the ballboys in Memphis know how to defend Yao and we will HAVE TO come up with an answer or this team is bound to fail yet again. Lose hurts but it actually kind of helps in the long run. So I look forward to tomorrow's game.
mostly true. but to solve the fronting needs a team effort. although i'm favoring lowry over brooks, but we also need to recognize that brooks is just in his 2nd year and starting his 10th or 11th game.

I remember when Rafer Alston went out for suspension. The Rockets blew a game they had in the fourth, losing to the Spurs. Aaron Brooks was garbage, a choke artist, couldn't run the point and the "Significance of Rafer Alston" thread was born. 9 straight wins later without Rafer and another choke happens... and the panic clowns come out to play again. No, Aaron Brooks doesn't have the ballhandling experience of Rafer Alston ... but he will get better and Kyle Lowry will get better accustomed to his teammates each game and provide more of the solid point skills to complement AB. It's not our greatest strength, but I'm not concerned yet. I love this team. This is the most fun I've had watching the Rockets in a long time. I get excited to watch them play again on game days. I really missed that. I loved that Artest had to be restrained by Deke after losing tonight. T-Mac would have already been in his hotel room by then working on an Adidas commercial with a couple of chicks and a Papa John's XL. Take it out on Minny tomorrow.
this is funny. i love ron but did anyone notice those 3 pointers he was shooting?? some people on this board are so positive about him even though his decision making skill were just as bad as t-mac's. but if t-mac shot those shots, this board would explode with so much hate but people are like, "he had a great game though....he was on fire though." is he getting a free pass or what?? lol, people are actually blaming t-mac for just supporting his teammates. unbelievable.
When Brooks learns the worst thing I can do is miss instead of turning it over. He's going to be okay. Teams are playing for the pass in the lane and he needs to start shooting ht 15 ft pull up and finish with layups.
It's alright, this team will be just fine. Artest had a 'Me' Moment. Don't worry about it guys, this loss will get Artest back to moving the ball as he saw that he can't win games by himself. But he didn't lose the game by himself, Adelman and his bunch of late/no adjustments lost this game.
Amen, this lost was on Adelman as much as it was on Brooks. Should have sub Lowry in sooner. Lowry at least is a better rebounder and defender than Brooks. Rose was just abusing him. Yao also need to seal off him man better, foul out if you have to. Put pressure on the refs to either call a foul against you or for you.
What I didn't get was why didn't RA put in the bench in with 5 minutes left and rest the starters. The team needs to get the game tomorrow it will be a must game to break this losing streak on the road.
