This game had some of the worst officiating I've seen all season. The Rockets didn't lose to the Bucks, they lost to the refs. Lowry got blatantly hacked 7 or 8 times with no call.
I thought we had more of an offense issue than defense. They only scored 98 pts w/ several FTs in the end. Of course I also thought our offense sucked b/c they had us pinned on defense and we couldn't run.
This team has all kind of issues. My point was, they are in no position to take ANY team for granted. They didn't seem "up" for the game. The schedule gets much worse in January. If you lose most of the "cupcake" games, what are you going to do when the "big boys" show up?
Dont take is seriously, Yao will be back once Adelman thinks the team can't be so good as he thought without our big guy.
I wouldn't go so far as to compare Milwaukee to the Showtime Lakers based on this game. After all, they missed a ton of open shots as well. This game was lost because of three factors: Bogut killing them on the boards, Salmons picking tonight to get out of his shooting slump and that 7 minute scoring drought in the 4th period. By now it should be plain for all to see the downside of going after Brad Miller instead of a younger more defensive big man. Miller basically gives them nothing in the post and the only two reliable low post players they have is Scola & Hayes who are limited. I was shaking my head at how many rebounds Bogut got tonight over Rockets players. It was pitiful. And truth be told, their defense was actually OK tonight - there was simply too much height and length on the side of the Bucks. Going in, I looked at the Bucks' worst offense in the league and I posted that this should have been a Rockets victory. Now I fully expect Cleveland to beat them tomorrow night.
Wow, I feel asleep on this game, woke up and found out we loss...how disappointing. At least I didn't get to see Chase play anymore. In fact I blame him for falling asleep.
I agree about Bud. Soon as he was brought into the game and started firing up brick after brick the game got away from us.
Hill probably cost us this game with his awful switches on pick and rolls and unwarranted double teams. The only positive thing about his bad play was that he seemed to recognize the problem, even though he repeated it several times.
I didn't watch today's game, but why the F did J Hill only play 15 minutes? His stats seemed flat but he was 4-7. Did he just shoot too much?
Pretty much how this game went. The starters actually had to face a tough defense that didnt back down, and they didnt have the refs give them the flopping calls they're used to, so the starters played frustrated. The bench did what it had to do, even with Budinger sucking and Courtney Lee's bland point guard play the bench did alright. Your starters have to play adequate to where you DON'T have to RESORT to saying "This guy was in too long...that guy shoulda played more... "
