totally depressed on what Happening in this team... Really Where's the defense guys? or this team Really are THE WORST ROCKET i have since Francis and Mobley Era...
Trade 'em... Trade 'em all... We need to start rebuilding around Hill and... I can't even think of a second player I would want to rebuild around... Scola is too old to be a factor in a rebuilding scenario, martin is efficient offensively but lacks any defensive skills and simply is not a winner, Lowry is overpaid for a backup point, which is what he is, Battier... don't get me started. I would keep Ish I guess, he shows potential. Yao is done, and if we resign him next season to anything above a vet's min I will be royally PO'ed. It is hard to even cheer for half the guys we have on the team. So sad
Takes two to tango for a trade. They gotta wait it out until Yao and Brooks get back. By the ending of December we will know what direction the team is headed. Still enough time to get the ship turned in the right direction. I think it starts first by limiting Shane and Chucks minutes.
Oh, and keeping Hill is not because he is our best player, but because he is our hardest worker on both ends of the floor.
Yes, I have to agree but it will be another month of depressing basketball. I have to stop watching. Too depressing.
Win or lose you still gotta watch Rockets basketball MAN! But the last 4 weeks I have been a complete di** to my girlfriend because Houston sports have been pissing me off. I hope the Texans and Rockets turn things around just in time for the holidays!
Looks like next year these players are guaranteed to be paid next year. Martin - Hopefully he gets traded this season if possible. Too light and no D. Scola - I cringe everytime I see his contract and contract length. It's not like other teams were clamoring for his services. If they were why didn't they offer him a contract like Cleveland did with Lowry. What leverage did he really have? Oh well. Maybe Morey should just stick to the draft(that seems to be his strength) and hire a consultant to handle negotiating contracts. Lowry - No shot but decent back-up. Miller - Old but wily. If he was surrounded by other athletic forwards it could possibly mask his lack of leaping ability and lead feet. Patterson - TBD. Smith - Promising but needs to work on shot. Everyone else needs to go!! Ming - Can't build a foundation with him any longer. Health is too unpredictable. Battier - Playing days were over a few years ago. Jeffries - Too soft inside. Hayes - Hustle, defense and character, but too short. Brooks - We need a traditional PG. Lee - Wish we still had Ariza - He had an edge to him, was a great tall defender and athletic. Taylor - Needs a new location. Budinger - Play is too up and down. Maybe that California surfer-guy shtick was true. Adelman - Was disappointed with his lack of coaching last season and it continues into this season - poor substitutions, lack of offensive schemes, poor defense and that agonizing fierce loyalty to certain players.
According the the ESPN2 broadcasters, Scola is one of only five players to be averaging 20 points and 9 rebounds. And in terms of offense, Martin is considered a top five shooting guard. So we have both a top SG and a top PF in offense, yet struggle to win games. I'm pointing it out because it's such a strange situation, and not because I think coaching is to blame.
