Driving to the basket instead of jacking up a jumper to give a try with 3 sec left on the clock? Oh man, the time is pushing and Aaron wanna pull a Warrior game drama on this one? Not twice buddy.

Gotta send shooters back into the game towards the end of the game, shoot it and at least we got 50-50 on it.

Ariza's defense on Roy is great, but not sufficient enough to contain him. I was wondering why Battier didn't guard Brandon Roy in the 4th?

live and learn...that's pretty much the motto this season. gotta learn how to finish games even if its a bitter loss. I said it before and I'll say it again: the rockets go as aaron brooks goes.

ariza was pitiful tonight. why not drive it in instead of taking jump shot after jump shot knowing your shots weren't falling tonight. tough loss.

Those two late missed FTs by Lowry really hurt as well. God so many 1 possession losses this year =(

tough loss but Carl Mandry played ilke an absolute beast. his play alone makes losing only by 1 ok.

Could have easily gotten the star call if he tried to contest. Hayes is very foul prone normally, Roy's at the superstar level, the Rose Garden is one of the best homecourts in the NBA, and I'm pretty damn sure that the refs were gonna give that game to the Blazers if it was close for the loss of Oden. Keep in mind we're about 48 hours from the Rockets winning a game from a last second foul; must be somewhere in the back of the players' minds.

evaluating his defence? really? we all saw Roy go past him and score the previous 2-3 plays, is that not enough evaluation for rick to realize that Ariza should not be defending roy???

Good game by the Rockets overall. Let us not be too disappointed with this loss. Budinger is starting to really develop and that augurs well for the Rockets run when Yao comes back in 2010.

Let us enjoy this group of Rockets leave everything on the court every single game without their prima donna. Win or lose they are a joy to watch. Win one for us fans next time guys.

this team is getting a lot criticism for only lossing by 1 point coming off a three game winning streak....

I disagree. Not sure that the Rockets have the luxury of trying out new things with a 1 point lead with 9 seconds. There is the entire game to "experiment."

The most logical reason is that no one else was stopping Roy the last several possessions and RA wanted a taller player on him.

You've got to give him a chance to correct himself (Ariza, that is).

    And another.

    And probably another.

The Rockets DO have the luxury (or curse, rather) of trying out new things this season, since we really don't have any championship aspirations.
