Did any of you guys notice when Brooks had the ball on top of the key and Yao was deep in the paint being fronted by Pryszbilla and Battier was in the left corner, Yao motioned to Brooks to swing the ball to Battier and Brooks promptly swung the ball the opposite side and Yao looked up in disgust. Personally, I want Yao to get into Brooks' face and tears him a new one, just remind that little midget whose team is it?
History lesson guys: The last time the Rockets had a 3-2 lead in the series was against Utah in 2007 and we blew it 4-3 so luck is not on the Rockets side at all.
Umm did I say more than 1 shot went off the backboard. Me saying "Brian Cooks shot off the backboard sums up the night" does not mean that is how we shot.
Ron Artest in this series 7-12 8-20 3-8 5-20 3-9 overall 26-71 36.7% FG if you take away the first fluke blowout, ron shot 33%!! Are you sh!tt!ng me? Star players elevate their games in the playoff! God, I can't believe anyone would choke as much as the rockets do. They better win game 6 because they definitely gonna choke away this series if they go back to portland in game 7!
Ron had a okay game until the 4th Lowry had a bad game Landry had a very bad game Brooks had a REALLY bad game 6-20 FG 1-8 3pt and 5 Assists? What the hell man. Can't pass, can't play D, now can't even score. What can you do? The Rockets didn't show the same intensity and hunger like they did in the past few games. Offense was a mess, the defense was okay and room to improve. The coaches whining about calls actually worked. Did the Rockets want to bring it back at home for the extra tickets sales? Or is Stern wants to take it 2 more games for the extra cash?
This game is on Rick Adelman. Playoff elimination game he doesn't know what to do with his players. He totally lost control in the fourth quarter. Why did he put AB back in? AB is what he is, but you should know better. 34 minutes, AB managed to take 20 shots and made 6. He also managed 0 steal in the game. Here, let me present you your future franchise player, future Tony Parker, and the corner stone of the future of this organization, for those AB lovers. Scola was on fire the first quarter, how many shots did they manage to give him in the rest of 3 quarters? 1 or 2? That's a typical Rockets game, or a typical AB run game - you got yours, it's my turn now. The motor is - NEVER EVER FEED THE HOT HAND. He got away with it in game 1, everyone loves him. This is the price. Hope they can learn something in game 6. Not blaming AB, coz he tried and failed, that's what he can do - dribble and throw up a shot. But it's so sad you have to put a 50 win team in his hands.
The referees basially officiate us out of momentum. AB is a terrible ball hogger like Marbury, and Artest believes he is KB. We could not possibly win under such circumtances
Ron has to give us more. He's probably not 100%, but he has to fight hard and give us more. Yao should have fouled out in this game because obviously he was not going to get any calls the other way. Yao being passive played into the Blazers' hands as they knew they could be more aggressive with him without being called for a foul. AB is just what he is -- a second year player with little experience on this stage. He'll get better. He's the only one on this team with the potential to be a closer down the road, but obviously he can't do it now, which is why we not going to go very far this year. The Rockets have to win this series. If they fail again it might be the end of this era of Rockets basketball. I called Rockets in 6 or Portland in 7 before the series started and I still think that's what is going to happen. If the Rockets don't win game 6 at home, there is no way they can win game 7 on the road (in fact the Yao Ming era Houston Rockets have never won a game 7, at home or on the road). Therefore, game 6 is a must win.
I agree. People are in a panic. This was one of those Ron Artest games, he just came in and jacked up shots and put Portland right into it. They are still a jumpshooting team and we had them right where we wanted. We are actually getting Yao the ball more so that's good. But Portland has been next to Utah when it comes to beating good teams on the road. Ron Artest is going to make up for this game, I promise.
After the first game blow out, we won 2 nail-biter games and lost a close one and a pretty big one margin tonight. Bad trend... Sounds like a Utah series. Only this time we do not have a game 7 at home to begin with.
Was that a 15-0 run that the Blazers went on? This is why the Rockets have the reputation as Choke City. We were looking great for a while... then somehow, the Rockets find a way to collapse... they don't score for I don't know how long. You guys though are overreacting saying we need to get rid of Artest and AB. This was a collective choke by the team.
