When is Houston's savior, Ron Artest gonna step up offensively??? I know he's trying on defense to stop Roy, but come on??

This is getting ridiculous...his shooting is horrible! He isn't making good decisions with the ball, he can't dribble, and his set shot is even off. When is he going to play like the star that he thinks he is??

Yao could've been a little bit more aggressive shooting the ball tonight. He passed up shots that he probably had a better chance of making, instead of Brooks for a 3.

Scola kept us in the game and he did great, but Aldridge is a great scorer too. That is a great battle of 2 offensively gifted power forwards.

Brooks needs to take the ball up hard when he's driving, the way Lowery does, if he wants to get calls. He's going up too soft and avoiding the contact.

Speaking of fouls...Broy is getting Dwade treatment now. He's allowed to push Lowery into Oden, he's allowed to go to the foul line, when Battier backs off of him, and any time there is any contact with him shooting the ball, its going to be a foul. I don't like it that, especially when Yao is getting hammered down low and Artest is allowed to be played physical by Roy in the post. I hope they do a better job of being consistent for both teams in Houston.

Tonight, Blake, Outlaw, and Fernandez stepped up with their 3 point shooting and the Blazers hit the glass tonight, not the Rockets. Next game, we need more Yao and Scola, and Artest needs to produce something offensively, Brooks needs to play more confidently, and Landry will need to up his intensity to match the playoff level. Also, we had WAY TOO MANY TURNOVERS today. We have to take better care of the ball, or else we're in trouble.

Great win by the Blazers, but horrible execution by the Rockets.

Scola is good but he looked this good because Yao demanded so much attention that scola's man is paying more attention to Yao most of the time than scola. Too bad aron brook don't know that yao and scola have the best FG on the team.

LSR your on the right track but wrong train. It is not Adelmans duty to enforce the idea it is Yao himself. Actions speak louder than words. Yao has to be the leader! When they were making their 4th qtr run Bill Worrel said , "who is going to step for the Rockets".....that should not even be a question. Sadly its not his first time saying this season.

    I disagree with that completely.

Lowry played awful tonight too. He wasn't aggressive, and he just kept fouling people. When that happens, he's pretty much useless.

We HAD to keep Aaron in there. And AB took some pretty good shots. There were obviously some questionable ones, but for the most part, his shots were open. He just missed them.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he scored 25 and lead us to victory in the next game.

actually yao + scola 17 for 25 is good enough for a win tonight if artest + brooks does better than 9 for 29. thats 20 misses = atleast 40 pts

Yea thats true. I have PLENTY OF BEEF with AB tonight. He deserves alot of blame!! Ron= ball stopper. However, I am just waiting to see if Yao can lead us to the promise land.

I love the Rockets and all players wearing Rockets Red. I call it w/o homerism.

Impact the game on the defensive end? How is getting a game-high 12 rebounds not impacting the game on the defensive end? That is more than both Joel Przybilla and Greg Oden got combined. And they are all defensive rebounds. Plus, although he missed a couple of layups, he can't get everything, that is why there is a score on the scoreboard in the first place, because no defense completely cancels out offense. Plus, he did get an extra block that was not counted--I believe it was on LaMarcus Aldridge.

Lot of over reaction in this thread as usual following a loss.

Let's look at the reality of the situation -- The Blazers scored 88 points. They have not scored more than 88 points in any game in this series except game 2 (which was their only other win). 88 points will not get it done. They won't win the next two games scoring 88 points. The Rockets have their number on defense.

On offense, Artest was terrible. Brooks was terrible. Lowry was terrible. Landry was terrible. Yao didn't score in the first quarter and only scored 2 in the fourth. Scola only scored 6 points after the 1st quarter. Battier didn't do anything. We were 3 for 15 from 3 point land. And despite ALL of that, we had a lead in the fourth quarter and had a shot to win this game. If the Rockets offense is this bad in the next two games, we deserve to lose. But it's unlikely that we are held to under 88 points in both the next two games.

Point being, we're fine. If we lose Game 6 at home, then people can start to panic. But for now, things are going as expected.
