This series is ours... plus Stat of the Game

Roy goes for 41... Aldridge goes for 27... Yao goes for 11... and the Rockets take the game down to the last minute -- I really really like our chances if that's what it takes for them to beat us, especially if its on their home floor. I'm not one for predictions, but something tells me Roy/Aldridge won't do this again this series and we take it in 5. Do it for Deke

Stat of the Game: Greg Oden - 12 mins, 6 fouls

AB made that kinda interesting, but we needed timeouts at the end.

If you cann't pass the ball to a guy 9 for 9 FG% and 6 for 6 FT% in a game, why the hell do you play the basketball???!! I say I asw tons of chances we could pass the ball to Yao, especially in the second half, but we didnt  !
    We deserved this loss...

Well if we can hold down the TC we'll be okay.

The refs weren't perfect but they weren't the reason we lost

Honestly, we split the home games, and we played pretty closely for most of the game. It could have been worse.

    A few things:
    1. Artest can't deal with Roy - Roy is much too quick for him. Battier really needs to do approximately 80% of the defense against him.
    2. If we're not using Artest for defensive purposes against Roy, than Wafer needs to play more. A lot more. At this point, Wafer is superior to Artest on the offensive end, and really is one of the few Rockets who can score a lot by themselves. While not necessarily starting as that would disrupt things, he should be playing as much as any of the starters.
    3. Lowry > Brooks. We played extremely well when Lowry charged again and again and drew fouls from the big men again and again. Brooks was okay, and I understand why Adelman sent him in after his excellent performance in the first game. However, sending in Brooks in the fourth quarter was a serious mistake.
    4. I don't know what happened with Scola. A lot of you are complaining about free throws, but really aside from Scola, no one shot that badly from the charity stripe. I would say Landry and Scola should have about equal minutes.

Ultimately, while this loss was disappointing, we annihlated the Blazers in the first game, and played well for most of the second. We should be alright.

Season low 6 shot attempts by Yao. Main reason we lost tonight.

If we had made 4 more free throws or if we could stop Broy.

No lie, when Brooks was nailing those 3's I was thinking of 13 in 33 the entire time. Now why couldn't he do this in the prior 47 minutes?

No need to fret yet. Roy had a career night in Portland. We also got some bad calls on Yao. I'm confident in this gameplan if they decide to front Yao every possession.
