I don't know why the Rockets DIDN'T decide to double Aldridge!! Hill was getting PWN'D play after play and hookshot after hookshot. It was frustrating. The couple of times that they did were good because they forced Portland into tough shots.

I missed 3 out of the last 4 games. Only watched the Toronto win. The other 3 losses I watched until the 2nd quarter at most.

After this performance the Rockets just lost its top billing over extracurricular activities.

Very unfair statement. Everyone else was getting owned by L.A. but Hill, while still getting owned was the only Rocket who was able to make him miss.

I was at the game and my voice is gone from yelling good job to Hill.

Also, you guys blame and blame KM for always disappearring in the fourth. When the hell did Scola even appear in this game. And why the heck did he keep playing at that lvl when RA should have kepted him subbed out.

Martin hits a 3 to bring us behind by three with 2.3 secs and he is a disappearing act again?

You guys get real and pay attn.

Also, quick question. It was my first game to attend.....ever. So exciting. Now what I want to know is. Am I supposed to tip the vendors that walk around??? Because the guy I bought from, made the most 'make me angry' statement. Now I am no baller (cha ching) but I am no slob either. But he asked me and the family if someone gave us those seats cause they were like 200-300 dollar seats (we got upgraded to Club, Sec C122 row 21) like we couldnt afford it......? So ummmmmm, wtf?!?!?! Racist?

Please do not post big pictures......if you are unsure, then at least be courteous enough to spoiler tag them.

And for crying out loud, don't QUOTE them too...

Who was guarding that scrub backup pg tonight since brooks quit the other night? 3 games in a row rondo lite was a - again. Hmmm

Just kidding and telling the truth at the same time. This is a average team with average assets. They have a bunch of alike players, but no difference makers. Look at portland who are in pretty much the same position as the rockets with the injuries, if not worse. They're missing Roy, their game close and Oden, the former #1. They're missing those guys and they still have the assets and talent to outplay the rockets.

Thinking of just assets, whom do you think other teams would want more, batum and fernandez or any young player the rockets have? Hell, the owners project, patty mills, made bayless expendable. I won't even go to L.A. who is playing up to his talent since Roy went out. The key word is talent. When you have guys with a big ball of clay and they can get to it, you're team can be elevated higher than a guy playing to his ceiling all the time but has a small ball of clay. Thats the rockets problem, the ball of clay size. They have alot of guys who don't have the high ceiling, but are lower bust-able. I like patterson, but is his ceiling any higher than dante cunningham? He sure as hell don't have anywhere close to LaMarcus talent.

You forgot to mention Brandon Roy and his 5 year 82 million maxed-out contract.

Wow I understand the frustration but why loathe your team? We might overhype them around here but we still have great assets. I remember last year around this time people were giving up on trading McGrady, thinking at best we were going to let him expire, look what Morey got us after that. Have some faith and at least wait until after the trade deadline.

And Portland might have a little more talent but we surely have nothing to envy on them.

I wish we had Aldridge, he basically took over that game last night and since Roy went down he has elevated his game to a whole new level. Love Scola but he has never taken over a game like that, the Nets game was great but it was against a historically crappy team at home.

    He is a stud, indeed.

Last season we broke with Tracy’s, this season we broke with Yao’s bind. LA and all, I believe Roy is going to hold that franchise hostage unless he recovers against all odds (Which I sincerely wish for him) or retires. In the meanwhile, where are they headed? Their future is more gloomy than ours.

I'll hold judgement until the deadline, both teams have interesting pieces that could net HEAVY returns.

Blazers - Miller, Camby, Joel P. and Roy

Rockets - Brooks, Scola, Battier and Jeffries

Who has more value Miller or Brooks, Camby or Scola, Joel P or Battier, Roy or Jeffries?

Until we can determine the net returns then I'm not sure who is ahead of the other but I will say that I'd choose our front office and management.

I just cant believe we lost a 13-pt lead in the 4th... all that momentum and then we let KM go to the bench?? NO NO NO, you dont sit him unless its a 17+ pt lead or something. 13 is STILL too dam close with 8 minutes left. It only took them like 2 anda 1/2 min to get it down to 4. God that game was infuriating.

my gf knew how angry I was when the Blazers took a 1 pt lead and I didnt yell or move or anything for the rest of the game. I just stared at the screen in quiet, furious disbelief.

we played injured portland twice, right behind the them in the standings, and lost both... plus one to denver.

    what an awful week.

100% agree. I literally stood up from the couch, walked to the kitchen, and stomped my hands on the counter at that 2-pt play. lol... gah I was so mad.

me last game: hun, I think I'm making a New Year's resolution to ENJOY Rockets games, and not get so mad.

    her: I hope so!

    me last night 2ND QUARTER: #$^!%^&%!!!!!!!!!! tbstb$^t@h$%gw#h%gq!~!~~~~~!!!!!

    her: what about your resolution?!?!

me: I didnt know when I turned on the game that they'd have 8 turnovers in 3 minutes and Portland would hit EVERY following shot!!!

I'm not down on the rockets talent, I'm just real about it. I don't envy the blazers talent, I'm just real about it. Even with the contract of Roy, they have a top talent in aldridge. Notice I didn't say ok talent, I said top talent. They have the richest owner in sports who will exceed the lux tax if need be. In the event Roy never comes back and they get the dpe, they will use it. They will also use the mle and other viable means to field a team. I'm not saying I want to switch places with them, I'm just saying this game is won and lost by impact players making impact plays. Last night and the last tie, aldridge made impact plays and the rockets didn't.

Dam, just peaked at the schedule again, If we don't beat Utah on Saturday we could be looking at being 6 games under .500 by next week. All the hard work that the team put in through December would basically be gone and probably be a good 5 or 6 games out of the 8th spot.

You magnified the differences in your first comparison.

They can’t get a dpe this year for Roy but they got a little one for Oden and if exceptions are going to have value this busy season, than ours are better. I’m not trying to undervalue them, they deserve praise considering their circumstances, and I repeat, they might have a little more talent but I just like our chances as much if not better than theirs.

I think last night showed exactly who we are. We are a team full of good role players and developing young talent.

We had a good lead and when portland applied pressure on us we made mistakes and they made shots. That is what happens to role players. We dont have a real leader on the floor to keep things going when things start getting tough. The player that makes that play when you need. I hope Morey can find us that player soon.
