McGrady's mistakes don't stop becoming his mistakes just because he stepped up offensively and kept us in the game. The potential game winner by Yao also doesn't erase how out of sync he is out there. You can't turn a blind eye to the truth.
Looked like they were supposed to switch, which would make sense. Just call it what it was: a miracle shot. It happens. Beat the Clips tomorrow and move on.
sports really love me right now. the kick in the balls that was the texas loss to tech wasn't enough, i needed a 30 foot turnaround 3 to lose tonight. and both games were practically mirror images. my team played like absolute crap to let an inferior team hang around, then, even with more errors, we somehow climbed back into the game, and then at the last second we miraculously take the lead, only to have our hearts torn out on a highlight reel, last second play to lose. beautiful.
ron and artest was supposed to switch. if you saw before the play happened, tmac and artest were having a discussion as they were with their guys, and they pointed fingers like artest would go up top if roy went up there and he'll stick with ron's man.
unbelievable game. nothing to blame about though. Even thought Roy's last ball was quite questionable, we were lucky even hanging on till the overtime. One question, why the coach put Chuck on the court the whole time of the fourth quarter? I don't understand that.
This game somewhat mirrors the Boston game. Tmac, Scola, Brooks all played well, while 2 of our big three Artest and Yao struggled with shooting. And I'm disappointed that I'm not seeing more of that Adelman offense with more ball movement and cuts. Our defense really struggled early, but then picked it up late particularly with Hayes in the game. It was nice to see Yao make a gutsy shot with 0.8 left and Ron playing clutch defense on Roy before the first overtime. It really wasn't a bad loss for us; the game could've gone either way, and the Rockets can definitely have the ability to play better than tonight. So there's lots of room for improvement. But for sure, the Rockets aren't ready yet.
It just shocks me how DD has some fourty thousand posts on this BBS yet in most of his posts, he seems to lack any fundamental knowledge of basketball. Dude you need to watch more then whats happening on the ball and notice the big picture... Why would Scola play more when Aldridge was just destroying him the whole night? Once Hayes was inserted in, LA was utterly useless and it was at this time that we our run. Despite what Reggie MIller says, we needed more defense than offense at that point in the game as you can't exactly trade baskets with people when u're behind. ANd what does Reggie know about defense anyways? Hes never played a moment of D in his life.
My girlfriend just said " you take this so serious ! " cause I told her I wouldn't sleep tonight ! I then Said " FIRST THE TEXAS FREAK LOSS AND NOW THIS !! " I just mentioned that sports will give me a heart attack real soon if I don't chill out !!!!!!!!!!!!
ron is playing 100%, his defense is the only thing keeping us in games where we are playing so terribly offensively
Artest and mcgrady in the locker room: A: They are right ya'll are soft! M: What u talking about? A: Man, you can't even guard your own guy, we weren't switching picks. M: OK I got lunch tomorrow. A: How sweet it would have been!!!!
Yeah I noticed that now. Also Brent Barry has given us nothing on offense nor defense when he is in the game.
