TMAC seems to be pacing himself. Look at where the game is and then take over. that way he does not have to expend to much energy. The problem is, players recognize that, he are taking it to him. Hopefully he can stay healthy.
he said his knee would fully heal in 6 months. the season starts in month 5 of recovery. he might not regain most of his lateral quickness until after teh all-star break.
This team need to get a defensive coaching assistance. Rox D is fast vanishing. Also, Yao needs a mentor who will teach him how to dunk the ball down low.
Offense will never be a problem for Tmac in his career. He'll be 35 fat and slow as hell and can still produce. I agree with you that its pretty apparent that he comes out of the gate not looking for his shot and instead sees whether or not his teammates are feeling it or not. Not a bad strategy seeing that hes not the youngest or fittest cat around these days. Its good to know that when called upon, he can always get his as Tmac as himself stated.
I was really hoping for the win, but its still early in the season. The offense looks no where near as fluid as it was last year and the defense is really weak. We just need some time, and to get Shane back and things should pick up. What is up with Landry? He really seems to have lost some of his explosiveness, and is getting into foul trouble way too early. Could it be that teams are respecting him more because of his breakout at the end of the season? Yao showed some confidence at the end, but I still think hes trying to find his groove. Ron was ok, and his defense was great at times (the strip of roy) while questionable at others. Tmac is looking great, as is Brooks. Overall I'm still feeling pretty optimistic. It was a hard fought game, and that stadium was packed full of fans with blazermania. No shame in fighting one out, even if your stars are having an off night on a road game like that.
If we rebound the ball like this against the Lakers, it's gonna be an embarrasing game. The Lakers are longer and bulkier than the Blazers and have more big man depth. Something needs to be done about this crap rebounding.
Hes not too bad offensively for a guy running on one knee eh? In terms of talent, he has to be one of the top 3 or 5 guys in the league. Not many people healthy can do what he does half assed.
to clear that last play up for those who are obviously confused, t-mac pointed for ron artest to get roy once roy ran out to the 3-point line, but there was just a mis-communication between the two of them. might I remind everyone that battier is still injured, francis hasn't hit the rotation yet, mcgrady is still injured. So when we get battier back, a player who could really help on the defensive side, look for artest to be better. as far as our offense goes, look at when our bench comes into the games, our offense flows quite well, but when our starters are in, we have yao ming who can't move fast at all, t-mac who is injured, and ron artest who is tired from playing defense, so the offense is hard to actually run like that. rafer alston im sure will turn this season around, he has a good chance at still keeping that starting spot, but he needs to work on his 3's just a bit more, other than that, we should be good to go, let's get the offense flowing and we should plow through teams like the blazers in the future.
Use this game as motivation to convincingly destroy them the next time we play them...don't let it come down to a miracle shot.
lol. This is so true. Intresting that the first time he played again the kid from OKC, his leg was hurting and he dropped 35 on them. Durant said, this is why I want to pattern my game after him. See what he did to me on one leg? I guess he is still taking people to school on one leg. If TMAC was totally 100 % in the playoffs and he had some help, He is as good as Kobe
man if he plays with the same intensity as he's playing with now, and get's his defense up, then i completely agree. The only bad thing about our team, IMO, is that yao is just not meant to be on the team at all, he's too slow, lazy, w/e you want to call it, he can't rebound worth *****, and he's not aggressive at all, his offensive talent is fine, but his defense needs a ***** load of work before we can compete for a ring.
I guess you just have to give props to the sneakiness of the Portland timekeepers. They're smarter than Utah timekeepers. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/XPy41q2cmCs&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/XPy41q2cmCs&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
two (close) losses is enough for me. i'm just angry about everything. i want the rockets to just pound every team on this road trip and i might be happy again.
What the Rockets lack is that they need more.... ... practice! Take it from AI. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eGDBR2L5kzI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eGDBR2L5kzI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
