which has been to me the biggest problem all year. Its like our coaching staff is just not even trying to do anything to help this team succeed.

I mean as much as people make fun of what Byron Scott was doing in LA - he had his orders of tanking. Its been clear since day one that JBB is way over his head. There is no way you can say that teams like Portland or Dallas have more talent than these Rockets and yet they finished with better records namely due to the strong coaching and systems they put in place

As ridiculous as it sounds, I feel like JBB was simply too cautious and afraid to do anything differently than Mchale.

He obviously knows the personnel very well and may have tried to implement a different system on a younger, more inexperienced team. This simply wasn't going to work on a squad that just made the WCFs and had championship aspirations.

He is obviously experienced and he may be talented, but he obviously doesn't command the right level of respect from this veteran squad.

    I hope Morey understands this

Not sure if anyone expected him to do anything differently. The move was made to send a message to the roster which they kinda got, but not really. Bickerstaff wasn't going to throw out all the of principles he's been taught his whole life, make this already lazy batch of personalities sit through hours and hours of practice to re-do all of their sets.

The move was simply to make them play harder with the same personnel & basic principles. The issue was likely viewed as simple effort issues & poor accountability from a coach that allowed his team to punt on training camp after coming in out of shape & unmotivated like they are the 97 Bulls just because they went to the WCF once.

I think we now see evidence that it isn't just motivation that is the issue here. Early on it was the first step to address. Thats why trying a new voice with the same system sort of made sense... lets address each factor one move at time. Now we are seeing that there are issues with the roster beyond that, and major flaws in their system especially on the defensive end. So in short its time for not just a new voice but a new lot of things. New system or at least major changes to it along with different support players.

Dmo is the only starter to consistently try to feed him the ball, Beasley in the other hand is a great one on one score but like when TJ was playing the 4 you can forget about getting the ball back once they get it.

This is getting crazy. Half of the people saying Dwight doesn't demand the ball and he's not authoritative enough. The other half are saying he should not be demanding the ball and be a Deandre Jordan Clone. So he's blasted either way based on two different opinions about him. The guy can't win. I'm not a Dwight apologist, his game has clearly diminished. He's not the main issue with Houston and he's not the answer either but crazy how people are turning anything he says against him now days.

Um, the 'Dwight-Harden era' ended sometime between the ASB and trade deadline.

There isn't anything an incoming coach can do to change that.

You don't know by now, that's the Rockets game plan. Shoot threes no matter what and regardless of what is working be it Dwight's b**** ass waking up to work down low or Beas-God going off with his mid-range game, the Rockets look for the ill advised three first. Even though we have ****ty shooters

The comments made by Bickerstaff in this article show just how clueless this group is and when these comments come from the head coach, it's incredibly disappointing. He talks about having an advantage in the post, but does nothing to about it. He comments on how the Warriors frustrate and put pressure on teams offensively, but does nothing to keep his guys in the right mind set. He's just as weak minded as the players on this roster. JB is out of his league as an NBA coach.

His defensive decline is what really screwed us over this year. It didn't have to screw us over, but our idiot coach insists on giving him the bulk of the minutes at center over Capela and DMo.

Dwight would be happier with his numbers if he shot even a little better from the free throw line.

Dwight is always so passive aggressive, probably rubs his teammates the wrong way.

Dwight's role on offense is alley-ooops and offensive rebounds. Dude can't set a pick so let him stay in the back baseline to follow Harden in for a dunk if they pick him up too much. Keep defensive's honest.

Problem is Dwight can't score any other way. You can't post him up because they just foul him now and put him on the line. The only time they don't foul him is when he is out of the paint and they know they can get him to turn it over 30% of the time, and if he manages to get close they can still foul him or make him take one of his ugly weird flat shots.
