I see it, 5-1 or 4-2 we are going to lose against Atlanta, and the only game that could go either way is the game against thr Bengals. so it goes: Jax W Atlanta L Cincinnati L or W, im not sure yet. Carolina W Indy W Tennessee W Even with 3-3 we could still win the division, if one of the 3 games we win is against the Titans.
Titans' remaining schedule: Falcons L Bucs L Bills L Saints L Colts W Jaguars L Texans W(starters rest second half)
People reference that time Yao went out as an example of how dejected we were, but they don't recall that we won 8 games (or was it 10?) after he went out, on the sheer back of an easy schedule plus some exceptional performances from Tracy, Rafer, and all our guys in the games that mattered (Dallas, LA). I bet this is going to be the same thing. Inspiring in that we'll continue to run through our regular season opponents like butter, disappointing in that everyone here knows that our ultimate ceiling in the playoffs has just gone down because of Schaub's departure. We might win one game but an appearance in the Super Bowl is unlikely. Still would make for the best Texans year ever! And a bright future also, as Indy continues to have billions of holes throughout the lineup that will not be fixed by a Manning return or a Luck-y lotto pick. Jacksonville and Tennessee will be even further behind in their rebuilding projects since they are only mediocre and not terrible yet, but they probably need to get terrible first. Might be too early to judge, but Locker and Gabbert don't look like your world-beaters at this point. So RELAX. This part is fun. Most anticipated game of the season imo. Two week layoff so we're biting at the bit for more football, AND no one has any clue how Leinart will respond. Could be mediocre, could be fantastic and better than Schaub. Gotta tune in to find out! Why can't any of our other sports be as compelling?
on friday john mclain said every qb kubiak has coached had their best year under him. just food for thought
I posted what I thought about the rep system, and it obviously bothered Clutch, so he removed it. His site, his rules. Never piss off the great and powerful Oz. DD
actually, it could be considered debatable, but he didn't have much of a drop off from his best season (other than total yards) to the season with kubes. he did improve from the previous season
We gonna get Manning back according to McClain and also gonna get AJ back according to Kubes. Damn wish Schaub hadn't gone for that QB sneak and Fat Albert's useless ass didn't land on him. Oh well, at least Leinart has the best WR in the league to throw to. Best case, 12-4, worst case 10-6.
didn't Carr get 4,000 under Kubes? And like 3,900 of those were dink-and-dunks? It was like the screen pass for 3 yards and the little 5-yard dumpoff became our running game.
Usually pessimistic, my prediction is......the Texans run the table, 6-0, finish 13-3. The Texans are going to rally around Lienart and he is going to surprise, big time. And if that happens, prepare for a serious playoff run. I must be out of my mind!
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=kubiaked I don't really agree with that definition though. To me it's: KUBIAK - v.i. 1. To experience a brainfart, overthink an otherwise simple situation, usually under times of duress, to the point where utter failure is snatched from the jaws of otherwise unmistakeable victory. Stop Kubiaking and take the damn money. 2. To choke in the crunch. 3. To lose a challenge. syn. hose - We got Kubiaked, Jimmy.
