lol, awesome thread. mekong river in downtown austin has the absolute most delicious tom yum soup. at other thai places i usually like it with shrimp but their tofu tom yum is just to die for. tart, spicy, lemongrassy garlicky goodness. pho binh has the best banh mi i've tried so far. duy sandwiches for faux-meat banh mi. i wish indian food photographed better. that's my absolute fave. ugh i hate being on a diet soooo much
So many great choices here. Roti Prata from Singapore with Mutton Curry. Bun Cha Gio I could eat this stuff almost every day. Shipley's Donut's always have to get a half dozen when I visit Houston. And finally
I'm having a truly hard time contributing to this thread. I start by drooling with ideas. Then go to google images to find pictures. Then next thing I know I'm at a restaurant ordering too much food forgetting how I got there
+1 It's the crust. As some people say, the Chicago pizza isn't a pizza - it's a pie. Old Neopolitan pizza from Italy isn't like that.
