This is a specious argument. Plenty of people have likely forgotten him or don't even know him - as he hasn't played for us since 2013-2014 and his last meaningful season with us was nearly a decade ago.
Imo he’s a rockets legend for that series alone. When I hear Aaron brooks I think of him as a rocket. And coincidentally when I think of that year I don’t think of TMac and Yao, I think of Brooks and Artest. Certain players at least for me are engraved in my mind based on when they played for the rockets and if someone ever asked me to name the roster from one of those years, they’d be on of the first names of my mind like Brooks, Artest, Wafer, Garcia, Delfino, and I know a few years down the line I’ll think of the 2017-2018 rockets and think of Mbah a Moute and Gerald. But I guess that’s just for myself.
Although I think more of Yao for that great year, I agree with ya. I loved AB out of Oregon so it felt like he needed to be represented. I think we're alike in that we both enjoy the fringe starters that brought everything for the Rox, yea? I'll say this though, for a lot of the loyal fan base, he's probably not forgotten; but for the so many fair-weathered fans, it would be a surprise that they remembered him accurately.
Damon Stoudamire, the 5-foot-11-inch point guard of the Toronto Raptors, was the linchpin of a reported six-player deal with the Houston Rockets, an on-again, off-again trade that is apparently off -- for now. In the deal that was initially reported yesterday afternoon by ESPN, Stoudamire was said to be going to the Rockets along with Walt Williams and Zan Tabak for Houston's Kevin Willis, Mario Elie, Matt Maloney and a first-round draft pick.
I'll see your Damon Stoudamire and raise you a Sean Elliot. "SEAN ELLIOTT was traded to the Houston Rockets by the Detroit Pistons yesterday for forwards ROBERT HORRY and MATT BULLARD and two second-round draft choices, the Pistons announced. Elliott, 26, and in his fifth National Basketball Association season, has averaged 17 points per game. An All-Star last season for the San Antonio Spurs, he was acquired by Detroit in the off season for DENNIS RODMAN. Despite their 32-11 record, the Rockets have had trouble scoring when opponents are able to stifle HAKEEM OLAJUWON. Houston coaches believe they need another scoring threat to relieve that pressure."
The shortest Rockets player ever... Sorry if he was already mentioned, but don't have time to look through the thread....
