If Carl plays well like he's capable of doing in Sac he will be looking at a $10 mil per year type of contract and we will not be able to affrod that. I think that is part of the reason why we made the trade.

Something tells me Carl and Buddy are pretty ticked at Houston right about now. I do think this will be a good move for Carl in the long run. I'd love to have him back, but I can't see it happening.

Can we sign and trade for Landry in offseason

With Landry due a raise, I think he fits our system better then the Kings. We didn't want to give him up. How about we make our big push for a Big name sign and trade, but if we don't succeed what about going back to Sacramento and helping them with more cap relief and try a sign and trade for Landry. Sacramento can't be doing well revenue wise and Landry market value has gone up. Is it possible to work something out. If he left them as a free agent, what could we offer. Would Shane help out their young team and he is expiring. Shane/Jefferies for cap relief and get Landry. Is it possible.....

Shane can help them a bit,but he is a better fit with a contender and not a rebuilding team. Jeffries is an underachiever. Cap relief is important to them, but they need talent.

Marcus Landry is a free agent, I believe.

Landry is not that good anymore, he had 4 points and got the rest in garbage time.

    :p

Chances to get him back to Houston is very slim!

It's a team option and nobody is giving up on a year of Carl Landry for only three million dollars

Landry is a mediocre player right now. He can get better but he'll have to watch a lot of basketball before that happens. The guy is basically dumb on the court. Great legs and really strong but dumb.

Daryl Morey said in his press conference, in no uncertain terms, that the Rockets WILL re-sign Luis Scola.

He also said that this year's draft is particularly deep at the power forward position and that the team would like to find another PF in the draft.

    Scola
    Hill
    late lotto pick

I'm thinking that the Rockets won't be in the market for another power forward (unless his name is Chris Bosh).

You gotta show some respect to Sacramento, and not compete to get a player you traded away to them.
