Mo Wil is an interesting case. Possibly worth a look.

I'm shocked no one has mentioned Jamal Tinsley yet. In the right system (and on a tight leash), I think he could have some value. I worry about his jump shot a bit(I worry about Rafer's too), but he has the skills to be a very good PG and occasionally he is.

Indy is cleaning house and he is at the top of their list so he might be had for cheap just because Bird wants to get rid of him. Part of his poor shooting numbers can be attributed to Indy asking him to score because there are few play makers on that team. If he is surrounded by guys like Yao, Tmac, and Battier I think he could find a nice niche. Indy would probably take Bobby Jackson's expiring with Aaron Brooks or maybe a future first rounder in place of AB.

...the downside to taking Tinsley is he could be a knucklehead and we would find him & Rafer in the morning papers because they went on a rampage beating up parking attendants in downtown Houston.

That's because he is absolutely horrible.

No. There is no system that could make Jamal Tinsley look good.

Jamal Tinsley's shooting makes Rafer Alston look like Brent Barry

If by occasionally you mean not since his rookie year, then yes, you would be correct.

    I wonder why.

Actually his poor shooting numbers can be attrubuted to the fact that he is terrible.

Yes, let's use our best available trade bait, Bobby Jackson, to acquire the worst starting point guard in all of basketball.

Sometimes I wonder if some of you guys have even watched some of these players who you suggest acquiring.

I guess but with the west expected to be even more stacked with portland up and coming I just dont see them making the playoffs. So its possible they might just blow it up.

Fully agree with thacabbage. I think I would not even want to take Tinsley if he got cut and we could have him for the minimum.

That's too much of an exaggeration. Tinsley maybe bad, but hell, he's not THAT bad. He's a quality playmaker, and might (still) have a future if he could get over the gettingdrunkstripclubbringsoutpistol stuff. Seriously. Not an upgrade over Rafer though, on second thought, Rafer's a lot better.

Do you really want this idiot around Brooks, Greene and the rest of the young guys?

Ya, I know Tinsley is a knucklehead and I wasn't suggesting we replace Alston with him(we use him as a backup) but I'll do anything to avoid seeing Bobby J & Luther Head play another playoff game for us. Tinsley might stink, but I bet he can shoot better than 28% in the game and 20% from the 3pt line in the playoffs. Of guys who played more than 100 minutes in the playoffs, only Zaza, Camby, and Horry had worse shooting percentages and Jackson nearly took as many shots as all three of those guys combined!

Morey, don't make me suffer through another playoff season where the supporting cast shoots below 30% - I can't take another year of that.

The guys I'm looking at who might become available come February are:

    Michael Redd
    Richard Jefferson
    TJ Ford
    Mike Miller
    Ron Artest
    Mike Dunleavy
    Josh Childress
    Al Harrington
    Mike Bibby

Just think about the teams that may be hoping to be competitive but will in all probability fall short: Milwaukee, Atlanta, Golden State, Indiana, Minnesota, Sacramento...
