I don't post that often, so don't hold this against me . . . but this article sounded interesting. One can read the Rockets inbetween David Sterns lines. Yao. Sapanoulus (spelling?). any others with international "flavor?"

"Four teams will go to Europe in 2006 and 2007 to hold camp in four countries and play exhibition games against Euroleague teams. Two of the NBA teams will cap the trip with a four-team tourney that will include the Euroleague champion and runner-up. NBA Commissioner David Stern said teams with an "international flavor" will be chosen and included coaches in his remarks."

Just a thought . . . could be an interesting couple of games if it happens.

I think San Antonio Spurs is most international team. In Rockets there are only Mutombo and Yao.

i said they are one of the most internationaly liked teams. not the team with the most international players.

we have a world wide fan base, so i can see how the nba would chose us to play overseas.

I hope it is notthe Rockets. I feel the trip to China, which was a distraction to training camp, and the ensuing jet lag were one of the reasons we started so slowly last year.

There has been talk that the Spurs and Suns might be two of the teams. Dallas is a natural but Cuban doesnt want them to go. I am sure Houston is another candidate but with their trip to China already in the books, I dont think this team needs another training camp abroad. Once is enough.

I don't think it will be us. We headlined the international games last season when we went to China and we definitely don't have enough Euro players to beat out some other teams.

    I can read your post.

And there is no way the Rockets would go on back to back international trips.

It just means people can't tell if you are online or offline. You can change it in your User CP > Edit Options > uncheck Use Invisible Mode then save changes

we're 100% not going this season - our pre-season games - outside of NBA cities - are going to be in Laredo (again) and I think Oklahoma City.

Next season, I've heard rumors . . . but not europe.

I heard a rumor too: The the Rockets would go back to China again. And this time the game would be a real one and not an exhibition.
