Possible Reason for T-Macs Fragile Body

    Absolutely ridiculous.

    The thread should be "Possible reasons people seem to love elbowing T-Mac".

    I remember reading in ESPN magazine that T-Mac could bench over 300lbs. While that’s just a warm-up for people in my old sport (powerlifting), it’s pretty good for a basketball player with long arms. Obviously, T-Mac’s trainer is doing something right.

    Please keep in mind that if you’re training someone at T-Macs level the training is very individualized. What you see in the gym or read in the bodybuilding magazines does not work for a professional athlete. While I agree with you that leg curls are not the best exercise for strengthening the hamstrings, the best hamstring exercises do place a lot of stress on the lower back. Because of T-Macs lower back problems, he may not be able to perform certain exercises.

    T-Mac is not trying to build muscle, he is trying to get stronger and faster. Different training for different needs.
