I'm more worried that the first game will either go into overtime or will turn into a FT shooting contest and I'll miss the beginning of the Rox game. Man, it SUCKS when that happens.

Yeah man. Moving down to floor level would be sweet. Are you going DD?

All this means is the Mavericks will do their pre-game flopping exercises outside in the snow.

Denver had a game postponed last season due to a blizzard.

yes, the Flop Angel. It's best taught in snow. It's easier to teach players in snow that a good flop starts with a slipping motion followed by the key dramatic effect of flailing on the ground like you're making snow angels.

The game is still on. It's snowing up north of Dallas in Denton & McKinney. In Dallas, it's raining and sleeting.

How sweet would it be to blow out the Mavs tonight and send all their fans streaming out early into the snow and the rain. Here's hoping.

Over rated. I was about ready to tell the National Weather Service and the city of Houston leadership to stuff it and stay home, but my job (at the time) moved it's operations out of town and they needed me there. Next time I'm not leaving unless it's a Category 7 storm and even then I'm not leaving until the storm clouds are about a block behind my getaway car.

The city of Dallas is probably softer than Dirk

Even in Oklahoma some of the high schools stay open with 3 inches of snow

Yeah I'm crazy. Telling people what local news reporting is completely bogus. Thankfully the storm has cleared up a bit so it shouldn't be a problem.

i remember houston would close up with a few inches of snow when i lived there.

particularly bad once was an ice storm which completely paralyzed the city - it was funny that no one knew how to drive on icy roads and spun out of control like tops.

of course this was about 17 years ago

In other news, the rodeo tonight might be cancelled becasue of the rain. Just a heads up.

OK may not be soft, but let's not confuse that for smart.

This move smacks of Mark Cuban. Leave it to pretty boy to try to avoid a game where Dirk isn't playing.
