I guess this is good news, but I still don't know how I feel about it. I'd be all for the deal if Cato's lazy ass was sent to Washington. On the other hand, I'm a big fan and supporter of Walt. Even though he had a mediocre season, he's a great team leader, and can sometimes be one of the hottest shooters in the NBA. By the way, I've seen White play a few times, but I'm not sure about his offensive skills. Can somebody please refresh my memory?

White is a muscler who forces the ball into the basket on put backs and set plays. He doesn't have much shot or handle, but can make decent, quick moves out of the pivot and hit a short hook shot now and then.

I know that some vegetarians do eat fish, so that could be a legitimate explaination...

If you eat fish, you are not a vegetarian.

True, but many meat eaters think vegetarian means not eating steak. So it is possible that he does eat fish and has been mislabeled a vegetarian. I bet Rudy is not a vegetarian because there are plenty of places with fare for both meat eaters and vegetarians, why would they go somewhere that he can order severely limited side dishes. Besides I bet the red beans and rice at Pappas has animal fat in it (if its any good).

My sister used to call herself a chicken and fish vegetarian. I think it's sort of a misnomer, but not everyone does, evidently :D.

haven, if that was directed towards me... I brought something for you (.|.. ..|.) :D

    j/k

I'm not a veggie... but a lot of 'meat eaters' get huffy w/ me for not eating mammals (see how I just raised the bar just a little bit? you can do anything if you just redraw morality around what your lifestyle is like... HAHAHAHA).

sentience used to be my concern, but hell I lived in charleston... so I quickly became a 'land vegetarian' b/c of all of the acreage/live @ marginal utility like jesus business... then I did that out of habit for a decade then last year I became an unofficial unvegetarian b/c of life on the road (eating chicken... mmm... again)

How about Walt/Draft picks for Jahidi White/Hubert Davis. It works with White's BYC status. Washington has 5 guards on their roster currently, not counting the 2/3 swingmen. When Jordan comes back, they'll have 6 guards then. Someone has to go & Davis would make a nice backup to Mobley. He shot 46% at the 3 point line between Dallas & Washington last year. Washington would drop $1.78 mill in salary this year & another $5 mill next year for a total of $6.78 mill (Actually, it'll be $7.535 mill with the annual raises figured in).

By the way, what's taking so long getting Shandon signed? I thought they were real close on the deal. Could they be working on a sign & trade deal, or am I just being impatient again?

    Interesting, according to ESPN Insider:

Heres how the salaries match up: $4,413,375 for White and $5,000,000 for the Wiz and Walt is in the last year of his contract. Seems like it might have a good chance of happening. He hasnt had the greatest stats over the years, but he is still young so he will be worth the risk as long as we dont throw out too big of a contract.

That's not true rimbaud, I've known vegetarians who also eat fish. They don't consider fish true meat for whatever reason. Besides maybe Pappadeaux serves salads. Wouldn't it make sense that if you went out to dinner, or lunch, and you were with a vegetarian that it would be easier to find a salad or something at a restaurant that serves meat, then it would for someone who eats meat to find food at a vegetarian restaurant?

is all this vegetarian talk going to lead to "the dog that bit Kenny got eaten and you meat eaters who are mad about it are hypocrites" thread?

cause that was just freaking irritating.

    2 things:

    1. Stop saying "Hubert Davis will make a fine backup behind Cuttino", God, like we need more guards....that is seriously one of the stupidest comments I keep hearing....We have Shandon, Moochie, TMO, and Langhi all easily plugged in and now we need another one trick pony?

    2. Any Vegetarian that eats fish and chicken is a p***y. I love meat, I love it very much....I don't hunt but in a more primative or hunting based society I am positive that I could kill and eat my food...as far as the moral implications of huge warehouses of filth and animals being machine lined through endless production and assembly lines of death and all that stuff, sure I agree, that is wrong, but I swear to god you touch my steak I am going to blow you're freakin' head off! ...

    BTW
I see Band Geek Mobster Guy got his DAMN smileys back....

    Backwardhead-
I am also in NY, and I also long for my hometown of Houston. All we get are stupid Knicks, Nets, Yankees, Mets, Jets, Giants, Rangers, Islanders, and Bills info. NYC just doesn't do it for me.

Jordan wants draft picks, right? Why can't we send Walt and the Toronto first round pick to Washington for White? Is this the deal being offered? Is a 3-team deal out of the question?

My sources tell me Carroll and Rudy were talking about how cool the new Air Jordans look. Nothing more.

I used to know one of those seafood eating vegetarians as well. Doesn't really make sense, but it does provide a plausible explanation of Rudy at Paps.
