maybe they'll draft the chinese dude? they did sign that japanese player a few seasons ago just to sell some jerseys in japan. actually i wouldn't mind that they'll get someone who might turn out to be solid but won't put them over.

    Doesn't matter.

Rookies don't get playtime in Phoenix unless their name is Amare.

They trade away their rookie draft rights.

They have a 7.5 player rotation.

I really wish that we're true. However, the guy is a freak who keeps getting better with age. Stockton never really broke down and Kidd looks like he's already 40 yet is still putting up great stats.

The problem with that team is no matter who they draft, they won't be a bust. Nash seems to always make his bench look like they could all be starters on any team in the league. If we only had a point guard like that, the sky would be the limit.

I really think at some point Phoenix might consider the following.

Trade Shawn Marion + 4th Pick (Hawks) to Minneasota for Kevin Garnett.

I know I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat because such a trade would make Phoenix a lock for the title.

    Imagine
    Nash
    Barbosa
    Bell
    Amare
    Garnett

Run'N'Gun version of the Twin Towers

I don't see how they incorporate the 4th pick in the already deep roation Suns have. I think if they don't win this year then such a trade might be imminent.

Losing Marion would be tough but man KG can be a monster in that offense if he gets Nash to feed him the ball ever time down the court.

Wow, How lame... Phoenix with 3 picks in the first round. I wish the Rockets traded for draft picks. Seems like we always trade them away.

even if they do get the 4th pick, i'm not scared of them at all. It took Dantonie five years to realize that Barbosa could play. He's more scared of rookies than Phil Jackson, JVG, and Larry Brown added together.

If memory serves me right, didn't they trade Luol Deng to Chicago in 2004 Draft?

Chicago receives Phoenix's (7th) 2004 first-round pick for their second round pick and a future first round pick.(062304)

No wonder these guys don't like rookies just last year they traded their 1st round pick for CASH.

Still 3 1st round picks could get them some good player and maybe used in a possible blockbuster trade.

That Garnett trade I mentioned before now looks more and more like its gonna happen after how Duncan owned them on both sides. Suns need to hurry up or else Nash id going to become old and a distant memory of himself.

I doubt Pheonix would trade for Garnett's huge contract. Marion make 17mil next year and Garnett makes 22mil. Pheonix is on the books for over 70mil the next two years.

Now if Pheonix could add Marcus Banks contract add to the trade. So, Marion + Banks + 2 first rders (4 & 24) for Garnett. But I don't think Minnesota would do this.

I do see Pheonix trading Marion, b/c he would be the easiest to replace out of their big 3 and he makes the most money on the team.

The Suns won't want to take on 3 guaranteed contracts the 3 1st round picks mean because they only play a 7-8 man rotation. Therefore a trade of 2 1st round picks & 2 or 3 players for a star is feasible.

    How about this trade?

    Sura + 26 pick

    for

    Marcus Banks + 24th + (optional 29th pick)

Phoenix - dumps Banks who was not right for their system and get an expiring contract. One less draft pick to pay for them and save 13 million dollars over the next 3 years from Marcus Banks contract.

Rockets - We love this trade because we get a decent backup pg for a semi-retired Bob Sura. Move up to the 24th spot. The icing on the cake would be if Morey can muster that 29th pick away from Phoenix if they have cold feet about paying draft picks.

Awesome trade for us and makes sense for them too in terms of financial flexibility.
