there isn't one single positive from this game, not one. MAYBE that it opened Morey's eyes into a)Mchale's shortcomings, b)roster help much needed
I'm a big Harden-homer for sure, but isn't some of the blame on Harden for not getting back into the play and getting the ball back from Black? It looked like Tarik knew he shouldn't have the ball in that situation, but when he looked to pass out, his 4 teammates were just standing there looking at him. So he did what he had to do. To me, Harden should have seen Black get the ball and immediately go into "give-me-the-damn-ball" mode (a la Kobe on every possession) and taken it back from Black. Even a rushed shot from Harden would have been better than Black taking Hill one-on-one.
He came out getting his teammates involved and then exploded in the third. The strategy worked, but he just did not close the game.
when you play crappy for 3 straight games, barely won the first, and the third lost against a crappy team, 9-3 is good as bad.
It seemed Black was looking for someone to pass it out to after he was given the ball in the post, but the other four guys were standing still around the three point line.
they're probably just accustomed to standing around while either dwight or harden go ISO -- hard to suddenly change those habits in crunch time
I might be wrong, but I find this very, very, very hard to believe. Yep I actually thought this was one of the better ref'ed games this season; Crawford and the gang pretty much let the guys play. Harden wasn't getting a lot of the calls he usually gets but then again, neither was Kobe. I think we got jobbed a lot worse in the Memphis game than in this one. True, unfortunately. The sad thing is that they had a chance to win but crumbled in crunch time. I just hope they get their stuff together by Saturday.
